I can't find a fault with this product. I installed an IKEA kitchen with lighting. With 20 lights for the cabinets, power cords, two power controllers, ... in total about 23 wires running through my new cabinets and it was an OCD/feng shui nightmare. I ordered two packages of these cable channel concealers and what was once a mess of twisted cables just looking to get snagged on the sliding drawers has been turned into a subtle, beautifully ordered, meticulously planned, power distribution system. I can now breathe. I give it my OCD approval rating of 6 stars (5 stars is uneven and makes me crazy). p.s. i ordered two but only used one. It is so efficiently packaged that I'm keeping it. I like seeing it when I open the drawers. I am at peace.
Easy and straightforward installation. The hardest part was trying to fit the cable(s) inside. The product says it fits a single channel cable, but for real application for a TV with a power cable and hdmi cable you will need to fit both cables inside.
The fit is a bit tight and takes some careful positioning, but it perfectly fits a round standard unbraided hdmi cable and a flat type TV power cable.
All I have left to do is to paint it the same color as the wall. I highly recommend starting at the speaker and work your way down one piece at a time, run your wire, then put the covers over the top, and the small pieces for the joints after.
I installed a security camera at the front of my house (of course, from Amazon), and I bought these to hide the wires on the inside door along it's frame. It was relatively straight forward and ended looking awesome!!! One trick I used...I didn't use the connectors on straight runs. I butted each piece to the next and then just caulked the tiny gap. I also caulked its outside and where it met the frame.
the plastic is cheap, it will crack if not handled correctly. the connectors dont fit together easily and will break if you put too much pressure on them, the double sided tape wont stick to the plastic without washing the plastic with soap and water, they applied some sort of oil on the plastic while molding the pcs. and didnt clean it off before shipping. I have thrown the entire 2 packages I purchased in the trash.
Kinda expensive considering what it is. Works great to hide cables. I used a hacksaw to cut them to length and a file to clean up the edges. I tried painting them using spray paint but the paint formed droplets on the plastic. Used a brush to paint them and that worked much better. I did three coats.
Great way to hide the ethernet and power cables for router and satelites. It fit one flat ethernet cable, one round ethernet cable and one poiwer cable for my mesh router trhat I mouynted on a wall near the modem. Easily fit the power cable needed for one satellite and one power cable and a wired ethernet cable to another satellite for my printer in another room. The angle and streaight connectors worked great where needed. Definitely will buty again.
works as intended and looks good. -My only issues:
-the connector brackets; they don't sit flush and using them creates a gap between the runners, I skipped them all together and it worked just fine. -I had a hard time keeping the flat cat6 inside the runners while installing the cap but i was running it accross the ceiling so it won't be as much of an issue when wall mounting and feeding/capping one at a time. Side note: I thought I messed up and installed the runners too close to the window ledge to get the caps on but even though I couldn't clip them from the front, working them from the side and sliding them into place worked very well. total time spent on installation: 8 minutes
The product is good quality. The pieces are relatively easy to cut with an sharp exacto-knife. It takes a bit of nimbleness to get the backing off the tape but if done carefully, it's easy to apply and sticks really well. The coverings hold well over the channels even when I jammed a few extra cables beyond the channels. I liked the first set so much a I bought a second set to clean up some other wires. The clean look of the rooms is so satisfying that I'm now looking to maybe buy a third larger set for some thick computer wiring in my wife's office.
