Generally, it is a decent bag that fits under the seat of an airplane. I was able to fit it under the seat on all of my recent Southwest flights, even the aisle set (which is a little narrower). You could stuff this full and it should still definitely fit under the seat. I put it in wheels first so I could access the bag mid-flight if needed.
It is definitely nice having the 4 wheels to be able to maneuver around the airport. I used this on a trip this past weekend. On the flight there, I had it on top of my carry on bag - it fit ok on top of the carry on, especially with the loop on the back to fit over another luggage handle. It did kind of sway from side to side due to the 4 wheels. On the flight back, I checked my (overstuffed) carry on bag, so I used this bag as my carry on. It was pretty easy to maneuver using the wheels. The handle itself is kind of flimsy when pulled up, so I don't know how long it will last (I am used to my Tumi and Briggs & Riley carry ons with heavy duty handles, but I wanted a cheap underseat bag to throw around).
Inside the bag, there are a lot of compartments, which made it nice to organize snacks, tech items, my wallet, and quick medical items (prescriptions, tylenol, band aids, etc). I was able to put my phones and water bottle in the mesh side pockets while trying to get situated into my plane seat. It could definitely be used for a quick weekend trip if you are paying for one of those economy flights where all you get is 1 personal item, as the main compartment could likely fit 2-3 sets of clothes for a quick jaunt.
Overall, I am pleased with the product. Having the 4 wheels makes this awesome. 4 stars instead of 5 only because of the somewhat flimsy handle bar.
I bought this bag to replace another Rockland underseat bag, mainly because I wanted one with spinner wheels. When I opened the box, I was disappointed to see that the actual color was not the deep purple shown in the picture. It's more of a plum color, and doesn't match my new purple luggage, but I may decide to keep it to avoid a trip to return it. It does have a lot of little compartments which make it easy to separate and locate the little things you have packed, like snacks, chargers, pens, etc. Except for my disappointment with the color, I like the features of the bag.
I love everything about this bag except for the handle. It’s extremely flimsy which makes it difficult to maneuver through a busy airport. Other than that, everything else was great. It fit under the airplane seat very well and I was able to get a surprising amount of stuff in it.
The wheels drag. The wheels do not work in unison, they seem to contend with each other. Won't roll smoothly, even over hardwood floors. I assume it would be even more difficult over carpet. Not happy with this product.
This luggage exceeded my expectations. Its lightweight, rolls well and it's also very spacious. The luggage holds a lot when packed consciously which makes it perfect for a free carry on for a short trip. It's my new favorite luggage.
