These were TERRIBLE for my poop kitty! The glue is just like regular acrylic nail glue. It leaked everywhere and got all over my poor kitties fur on his toes. It dried the fur rock solid to their skin and now they are in pain! Luckily I was able to snip enough away to allow them to use their claws again, but I can not recommend this product to any owner who cares about their kitty. Beware.
I am a daily Amazon user, but this is my very first review. Please DO NOT purchase this item for your cat. I have put nails on my cat many times before, but this time, I tried this product from Amazon and it burned his skin (he never hisses, but 20-30 seconds after the nail went on, he meowed very loud and hissed). It was the glue!
I will go back to paying normal prices for brands like Whisker City and Soft Claws since those are actually cat safe products.
Initially I was surprised at the amount of caps you get for the price. Thought it was worth a try. The glue seems like the standard glue that comes with the kitty caps, which isn’t overly long lasting. I think my cat lost a cap within the first few days. No biggie, kind of expected it. However I am pretty unimpressed with the fact that the ends of these caps (within the first 7 days) have lost their tips. So essentially the sharper part of my cat’s nail is now sticking out of the end. This is probably the most inconvenient of malfunctions because the cap is still glued to the nail..... so I can’t just replace the cap. So if anything this cat cap is protecting the dang claws from me adding cat caps! Not really impressed.
I bought this product to keep my cat from scratching the carpet. It sounded like a good idea but it was not. It comes in a package with many nails as describes and looks just like the picture. What they fail to tell you is that you must use glue to put the nails on the cat. Yes, glue. Almost like glue, you would put fake acrylic nails on yourself with. The glue kept getting stuck to my cat's fur causing it to become matted and when he shook his paw ALL of the nails fell off. I will NOT be buying this product or anything like it again.
I ordered this a little while ago and just decided to put red caps on my calico Got the red cap baggy and was going for the glue, when the cap just came off. The glue oozed all over my hand. I’m currently soaking my hand in hot water because the adhesive is basically super glue.
do you anesthetize your cat first? No way my cat would let me put these on. It was a two person half hour job. Then the superglue smells like, well, superglue. Cat hated it and systematically worked to pull them off one by one over the next 24 hours. Good in theory, but not for my little monster.
Ok the lroduct itself came quickly and was as described however good luck getting them on any cat.. only was this is happening is if i drug this cat and put her to sleep first... its is impossible.. lmfao Look we tried multiple people holding her.. she is a small cat too . No way.. glue and tips no way. It is not happening for a cat.. just no....... good luck
