My cat thinks she’s being tortured when trying to put the nail caps on. I was under the impression the glue for these were strong but water/soap soluble.. so when I need them off it’s easy to get them off. It’s quite the opposite.. I had to google how to get them off as 3 weeks later certain ones had not come off yet. They drove my cat insane and all she did was obsessively lick her paws and chew trying to get them off. I’m sure she possible ingested 1 or 2 of the actual nail caps. All the glue is just regular old super glue .. not a special glue designed for the product. Overall for how much this stressed both the cat and owner out, it’s not worth it to me.
Honestly just spend your money on the real ones. These do NOT stay on as long as the more expensive ones. Using them though because I bought them, but I’m going to have to replace them more often than the name brand ones. I got large and they are huge. I have to cut them every single time to fit my 2 cats claws.
These work, but they are NOT the same as the ones you would buy from the pet store. They run bigger. They are wider and the material is more flimsy. My cats were able to pull them off within days. The other brand lasted almost 3 weeks (give or take). You get what you pay for!
While the caps were effective for keeping my car from scratching, I couldn’t keep them on for more than 3 days before feeling bad about them. I followed the directions exactly, trimming them if too long, only filling them up part way with glue, and making sure none got on his paws but not only after inspecting his paws were there what looked like burn marks but my cat hated them so much he ended up chewing on his paws until they came off and he ended up eating one then throwing it up. I ended up sitting with him in my lap for 2 hours while I safely got them off. So, even though they did keep him from scratching I’d rather him scratch all my furniture than put him through that again.
I have been using various brands of these caps for 5 years. This time I went for the low cost on this product. While the fit and ease of use is equal to any other. The composition of the plastic seems to be different. Othere brands are softer and more pliable and have always held up well, while these seem to be harder and brittle. After application, the tips often crack or break off over time, allowing the tip of the claw to be exposed, then although it appears the caps are in place, the cat can still scratch as the tips are broken off. I can’t wait for the these to shed off so I can replace with a different brand cap.
You have to clip the cats nails and then glue them on. You need at least 2 people to work on this and once all your hard work is done they do not last for a day. You might as well just clip your pets nails every couple days instead of wasting money on this. However small children thought it was cute to have a cat with colored toe nails for a day.
First of all I’ve been searching dogs claw caps and amazon recommend me that. Why?! I thought ok, may be large dogs and cats ha the same claws’ side. Who knows... guess what, it’s not! It’s not work for dog
I didn’t care for these I put a small drop of glue in the cap and they didn’t stay, then you put a little more and it ends up sticking to you and the poor cat, we finally get them on and they stay maybe a week or two before it’s time to do it again! The glue it good, the actual caps are great just not for our family.
Pretty annoyed that the small and extra small are the exact same size.... i use the smalls on my adult cats and ordered the extra small for my dwarfed kitten expecting smaller product they fall right off even when clipped shorter to fit better
