I got these to hand out with pups. I am a breeder. I didnt realize how wide they were but have used about 6 of them and out of those 6, one came apart immediately at the handle. Not for use in traffic or outside fenced area ! Too bad. I had d others from ebay but cant get anymore. No problem with them.
I volunteer at a municipal shelter and we use these like crazy to get dogs in and out of kennels and take them to vets, groomers, etc. The last couple of batches have had some serious quality issues with the stiching where the handle is formed and also on the O-rings that are not fully closed. The handle stiching literally rips out when a stronger dog pulls, allowing the leash to just slip from the walker's hand, resulting in a loose dog. The O-ring not closing creates a place where the nylon can catch, causing the lead not to slip tightly to the animal's neck and it also will tear at the nylon, resulting in an unreliable product. I still purchase them, because there isn't any economical alternative, but hav had to put a reinforcing stitch in the handle and examine the O-rings closely and adjust with pliars. Alternatively, I sometimes tie a tight knot right where the handle meets the run of the leash, so the stiching doesn't take as much stress.
These were as described but the seam that seals the loop retaining the ring is just "welded". The seam is not difficult to pick apart making the leash useless. Would be good for small dogs, would not survive being used on my Husky.
I am disappointed. I love slip leads but I think the rings on this brand might be a little big. The leash slips loose through the ring very easily...making the loop bigger. If your dog isn't already pretty well trained these might not be the best leash for you as it could slip off your dog's head at a bad time if there isn't constant tension. If the rings were a little bit smaller I don't think slippage would be an issue.
