To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I love these notebooks. I use them for shopping lists, leaving notes for family, taking on trips for kids to write and draw in the car. The size is perfect, and the books are very sturdy. The wire spines don’t get all twisted and messed up like most do. I feel like I might like these notebooks more than a person should like a type of notebook... but they are definitely my go-to.
The perfect size notebook for me. I use it for journaling while on long trips. Fits well in my briefcase and backpack, folds all the way over with the spiral binding. Lined just right for writing and getting a lot on the page. Front cover is plastic and the back cover is thick cardboard. I've been using these on various overseas trips for a couple years now and have had no problem with them whatsoever. Size is perfect for what I need. Wish I could choose the colors instead of them being randomly chosen when shipped. Good price. Better than I have found locally.
I have used “lil’ Fat“ notebooks for years and decided to test the waters with a bit larger notebook. These are 7“ X 4 3/8“ but seem even larger!
I write on various topics of interest and my research notes I keep in long-hand, file away eventually, but are a permanent record of sorts. I also chronicle my time, which could be critical. Highlights ... Bleeds slightly. Not waterproof. That’s a problem if you need a permanent record. The smaller LIL’ FAT Books have never bled, regardless of pen or ink/gel. They’re 5-1/2“ X 3-1/2“ with 200 sheets v. 100 in the larger notebook. Both are made by Mead FIVE STAR.
I love the spiral bound A-5 Five Star notebooks...and use them daily for personal note-taking while working, driving, etc. BUT...they have gotten to be almost prohibitively expensive...and this may be my last run at carrying them...Since I have found that I can cut notebook paper in half, hole punch it, and fill my A-5 Binder (7-ring) with paper at about 1-penny per page...FAR CHEAPER than the Five Star Notebooks...
These are sturdy, have pockets in the front, perforated pages. I use them daily, refer to them as 'my brain." I have different colors for different things, am able to securely keep a pen in each spinal binding, have colorful divider tabs in some, and use them for documenting certain phone, grocery lists, take-out orders, things I want to remember, etc. They're compact, easy to grab, and I've given them to other family members to take to medical appointments/hospital visits for themselves and others to document names of who they met with/dates/times, medical information given, appointment dates, etc. to refer back to.
Depending on how stressful things are at work, I use these notebooks for logging food and exercise as it forces me to take the time to write my patterns down and helps me realize when I haven’t been as healthy as I should be.
I like to keep these notebooks on hand for my own notes or organizing plans, but also for my grandchildren who sometimes need them at what they say are last minute requirements. I have done this for years. They are priced right and thick enough for any use you might need them fo.
