Shot version: Follow they directions and they hold really well. I cleaned of the wall with a Lysol wipe and now they rip off the paint... Next time ill just avoid the wipe. -1 star because i will have to repaint the wall after removing them, but would definitely recommend them with this warning.
I tried one at first just to see how well it holds and it wasn't great, but that was my fault. I did not follow the directions. For the rest I followed the directions, i first cleaned my wall with a Lysol wipe to make sure to get rid of any oils or dust residue. Then i firmly held each one i applied for 10 seconds. I ended up waiting about 16 hours because i did it at night and didn't get to put in my light strip until the next night.
The problem now is they hold a bit too well! I tried removing 1 just to see the adhesion and it actually took off some paint. I tried another one and it did the same. If i end up using the rest, i will redo my process but skip cleaning the wall. I think that might prevent it from sticking too hard.
Ok as far as this type of joiner goes. The issue with this type of joiner is that they are fiddly and can be hard to line up exactly with the “wires” on the light strips. “It is what it is” but works fine (As options ate limited I tend to use in conjunction with the prong type joiners and wrap ALL joins in electrical tape (testing as you go) for stability of connection, otherwise light strip joins tend to fail in one color or another, especially if there is any movement at join).
Used these for hanging sons LED strip lights and fell down after one day. Sucky adhesión dont waste money more importantly your time and tired arms after applying these lil buggerS. Scotch tape would have been better. Ended up getting 3M mounting clips and still going strong. I now have three bags of crappy mounting clips to figure out what to do with.
I am not trying to be rude by this, but I have been trying to get these to work for a decent hour. Doesnt matter the amount you use either. They do not stick to the wall and do not hold but for maybe a few seconds to minutes. I am very upset I had wasted the money on these that I could have used for anything where I got an actual usable product...... Now I know not to buy these. Sorry, but have to be honest.
The first bag I received looked like it was on a shelf for 50 years. I got a quick response and a replacement item, so I was alright. I just opened the replacement item, and this bag looks like its been sitting for 30 years on a shelf. The clips in both bags are no longer white, but have faded away to a yellowish old color. It would have been great to have fresh white clips in a fresh bag as the bag of clips is being sent with LED lights as a gift for my grandkids. I cannot send them an old nasty looking bag with faded clips.
Got these to mount a Hue light strip because they stated ID 0.6". Well they are only 0.37" ID. DO NOT get these if you are trying to mount any strip wider than 3/8". And the adhesion sucked as well, find some with 3M black tape.
I used this to light the cabinet under my fish tank. The color is warm as indicated and is just great for lighting the inside. The feel is smooth and made it easier to attach. I didn't use the adhesive, prefering to use some hooks I purchased seperately to hold the wire. I'm pleased with these and would order again.
Great quality and delivered on time. Work for what I bought them for, which was to hold up LED lighting against the back of my monitor, where the stickiness of the light strip wasn't strong enough. The fact that there are 100 of these meant I could also use them for other things, like holding my headphone cable to the side instead of over my legs and it's easy to insert or remove the cable from the clip.
We thought perhaps this would rescue the poor decision to ever buy led lights. However it seems there are several duds in our pack. I tried atleast 25/30 of these to hang led lights high up on the wall. They fall down unless I put them every inch! I'd need way more than 100 if I wanted to waste more time attempting to get the lights up. I am in for $70 now and I give up! Dont get these for basic bedroom walls is all I can say
The adhesion seems really good so far! I was looking for something that would hold my Lifx Z strips and these are almost perfect. The strips are barely too thick. Used the same clips for some car leds that are even thicker than the lifx and they also hold those no problem!
