To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
After updating the firmware to enable SD card so I could load up some coff coff homebrew coff coff, this device is almost perfect. Almost, if it weren't for the joysticks and lack of paddles. The select button only registers if pushed REALLY hard, the fire button seems to not register at times and the stick movement itself is sloppy. It may LOOK like an authentic 2600 stick but doesn't feel or respond like one.
My only complaint on the actual emulation is the sound is a bit laggy. Not terribly so but noticeable.
Wow, this gives the same experience as when I was a kid! Very nicely done! Games are perfect, just as they were in my memory. Game selection is good too. I give for stars because I think it missed an updatable option, I'd love to be able to upload ROMs in my console
O Atari é muito legal, pena que não vem com Pacman. Veio um primeiro com defeito, mas conversei com o vendedor que foi muito atencioso e se prontificou a trocar por outro novo, o que foi feito. Agora o produto funciona adequadamente.
Remote controllers are nice - the original Atari controllers had annoying cords which tangled and were not always long enough
The interactive menu is nice - allows you to look through the list of titles and choose the game you want easily - still disappointed they don't have pac man
Could not be easier to install
To be truly what it needs to be they need to make the interactive menu continue into the game so you can select your game options as easily as you select games - originally you had to toggle through the game version numbers to select the game options you wanted (or the combinations of game options) to keep track of these each game came with a booklet describing the game options and included a chart so you could toggle to the version you wanted for the right combinations of game options - this uses the same method without giving you any clues as to what those game options are (you can usually find the charts on line with a Google search - I cannot say if there are descriptions of game options available on line) - brief explanations of game options should be available as well as interactive methods of selecting preferred game options rather than the old format for future releases if they ever expect to sell any once us old folks who buy them for nostalgia all die off
Purchased this for my boyfriend's birthday who loves "old school" video games. He played it for hours the evening he unwrapped it and has played it several times since. He LOVES it, although was a little disappointment to find that the set did not come with paddles even though several games do not work well without them. We are looking to pick up a set of paddle controllers now and they are a bit difficult to find. Otherwise, we're happy with no real complaints. The console works well and we've enjoyed a lot of family time together teaching the kids what video games "used" to look like. : )
Great game system with easy to use controllers and easy set up. Wireless game play is pretty smooth and it looks and feels like the original. My main complaint is that the ultimate version did not offer or come with the paddles. You can buy a lesser version that has them but is missing a few great games. It made me choose and either way I lost out. Could have been planned better. I don't see myself buying another one in any format in the future.
