The grip was very good and the straps have held on like champs despite my abuse. I've had these for 8 months now through 6/week CrossFit classes (I only wind up using these about twice/week). Unfortunately, the left one started to rip on the side and has ripped nearly halfway across, right in the middle. Just today, a big hole has appeared right in the middle of the palm, which is a very odd place for the wear to shine through. So it's time to retire them. I was hoping they'd last longer, but they were really good while they lasted.
