These little bastards will ultimately get the job done but they are frustrating. Very flimsy with pretty lousy screws that don't like to penetrate straight (and this is coming from a finish carpenter that knows how to use a screw gun and knows quality screws). I initially read similar reviews but thought my application may yield different results or that it would be easier for me to install. It did not...and it wasn't. I had to use over 50 of them and I grimaced and cussed under my breath the whole time. I'm assuming there is a better product that is a few bucks more that I should have gladly paid. The original clips that came with my LED strip lights were made of hard plastic and they worked flawlessly (I just didn't have enough of them). Like I said, they'll likely get the job done but I highly recommend you search for a more rigid clip and save yourself the grief.
They are like a gummy bear in texture. We had placed right along the edge of the wall where the ceiling meets. We finished it all. Decided to use these items because we doubted the sticker adhesion would work. Sadly since we had put right at the place where the wall and ceiling meet there was no room to use his item. So keep in minf
in the description it states "Designed for IP65 Waterproof LED Light: Ideal for 3528/5050/5630/3014 SMD LED waterproof strip light" and this is what I was using them on "LED Strip Light Waterproof IP65 12V DC High Density SMD 3528 120 LEDs" First off the screws are garbage. even when you drill a pilot hole in wood or fiberglass THEY BREAK, and I was using a hand screw driver not a battery one to tighten!!! after removing 11 broken screws I went and purchased some screws to use. The clips DO NOT HOLD IT TIGHT!!! if the adhesive comes off the light strips are floating around inside the clip.
The problem with these fasteners is that they’ve are stretchy plastic, not solid so they don’t sing the light up. Several of them broken when we tried to install them, they just tear. You have to use a lot of them or the lights are too heavy and start to sag and drop so you don’t get a nice straight line. I wouldn’t buy them again. I would look for a solid fastener.
You'd think these would work wonders to hold light strips in place, but nope. They're worthless. The moment the screw starts getting even a little bit close the bracket turns and tears. You can't get it close enough to actually hold the strips in place. I'd demand my money back, if I knew they wouldn't repackage the ones I didn't use and sell them to some other sucker.
They don’t really fit the strip lights I purchased even though the description says it does. I used them because they stretch so I made do. If I had more time to put up the lights I would have sent them back. But they did the job
LED strips come with some pretty weak adhesive, and you don't know that you need these until you need them. You want LED strips in cool places, and this is what will allow you to put them anywhere. Highly recommend.
I used this to attach strip lighting. The screws are hard to get started then when they are almost tight the holder twists. It is nice that it is flexible but it has also pulled through the screws. I ended up using a bracket that was stiffer and used nails.
