I've tried Corsx and some other brand patches, but these seem to be the best so far.
Corsx: - Don't stick as well, edges can lift. For pimples around the lip and jawline they aren't too effective. - Are thicker. Can be a good or bad thing. Patches are more obvious on the face, but seem to have a higher capacity than the Rael ones. If you have some juicy pimples then the Corsx ones might work better. - Annoying to peel off the plastic sheet. You need to bend the sheet and carefully remove the patch without bending in the edges. - Comes in 3 sizes: small, medium, and large. I found the range of sizes useless and prefer the Rael ones. The small ones are very small, and the large ones are very large, I found myself wishing there were more medium sizes. - Works at the same speed as the Rael ones
Rael: - Thinner. No obvious edges around the patch like the Corsx ones but seem to have less capacity. Fine for most use cases, but for large, full pimples you often have to monitor and reapply. - Stick very well. Great for those trickier areas that the Corsx ones seem to struggle with. - Easy to peel off the sheet, the Rael ones allow you to pull the plastic sheet apart, across the guidelines to easily separate the patch from the sheet without using your nails. Less chance of ruining the patch. - Comes in a 10mm and 12mm patch, I like the sizes because they seem to suit all scenarios without 3 different drastically different sizes. - Works at the same speed as the Corsx ones.
So easy and fuss free to use. They’re almost invisible on the skin, and stick super well without lifting for long wear- great for hiding under make-up. Really helps you to stop picking if you have that habit too, lol.
After reading the reviews, I had HIGH hopes for this product. After I purchased it, I used it about 3 times since I’ve had random breakouts throughout the last few days. Tried it on big, small and ready to pop pimples. I feel like I was putting nothing on them. My pimples didn’t change one bit, just stayed the same. If you told me there was actually something in these patches, I wouldn’t believe you. High ineffective even though I’ve tried it multiple times. Will be returning. Try the the Origins acne spot treatment at Sephora!
I’m just blown away at how well these work. I’ve been using these for a week and these are the benefits I’ve noticed:
- popped pimples: sucks out the pus - unpopped pimples: still sucks out the pus - cystic/ deep pimples: sucks out the pus...eventually, with some help - invisible: yes...if you’re careful about removing from the packaging and keeping in mind as soon as it turns white it’s no longer invisible.
I have a skin picking disorder (trichotillomania) so having face acne is a problem as I can’t stop picking. These patches are a lifesaver because if I feel a pimple coming on that I can’t pop, I just put one of these on and the urge to pick goes away. It saves my skin.
So far these have worked perfectly for every kind of pimple for me, it always pulls out pus and leaves the skin flatter or at least less inflamed.
I’ve had a deep pimple on my chin for 2 years, no joke, no matter what I did it wouldn’t empty so I just learned to ignore it. I tried the pimple patch...nothing happened. After 8 hours I tried a new one...still nothing. BUT...it didn’t feel quite so deep under the skin anymore after 3 patches, it felt closer to the surface. So I pushed and gently pinched the area for a few minutes to encourage it closer the the surface and put another patch on. Bingo - after a few hours the patch was full and white. I’ve gone through 4 more patches and it’s still emptying 😳 So gross but honestly it feels so good as the pressure is finally gone from there after 2 years.
CONS: these are pricey, and I can already tell a box won’t last me very long.
Tips: to keep the edges from peeling up and being visible on your skin, don’t peel them off the backing with your fingernails. Instead, peel the plastic backing off, and put the exposed half of the patch on your face and peel it off that way.
I'm really glad I tried these, as they are my new favourite thing. They really work! Though, I will let you know, you MUST break the skin or attempt to pop it BEFORE you put it on. Otherwise, it will do absolutely nothing. Also, it is not an overnight cure, at least for my stubborn pimples! Sometimes I need to use them a couple days in a row. However, I can't imagine how long it would've taken to clear them up without these. These have been able to slowly get rid of stubborn pimples that would've lasted weeks if I didn't do anything. You know the pimples, the ones that are in the most inconvenient spot and look as ugly as possible. These helped! I will definitely be buying these again.
I don’t know if I was using these wrong? Can you use them incorrectly? But they didn’t work for me. I saw no difference from placing one on a zit in the evening and taking it off in the morning. I’m disappointed because I heard so many successful stories with them!
