After Much Research I ordered this to do my exercise dvds while on vacation. The player arrived a day early, Yay. I read the instruction booklet(skimpy), followed battery charging directions. When full battery light came on I put in a dvd to test the picture/sound quality...Nothing. Tried the whole process Again...Still Nothing. Plugged the player into an outlet & it worked Great. The Picture was bright & clear as was the sound. Brought it with me anyway, thinking maybe the younger folks I would be with could see if I was doing something incorrect. They looked & tried...Still Nothing when trying to make it work on Battery Power. Extremely Dissapointing!!! Especially as I also had no way to play cds during my down time. Have returned player & am awaiting extra warranty reimbursement.
If I could give it no stars I would. DON’T buy this!!! I just moved and currently don’t have it in my budget to buy a whole tv setup so I ordered this based on tons of research I did. I was so excited when it arrived but I followed all the directions, put it in a well ventilated place and let it charge for 6+ hours. When I got home from work I was so excited to put a movie in. It said loading and then told me “no disk” so I took it out, cleaned the disk and tried again only to be met with the same message. I thought maybe it was the disk so I tried another dvd and had the same problem. It looks really nice and fancy but does not work, don’t waste your money!
I bought this over a month ago and waited to give it to my granddaughter for her birthday . Now it doesn t work . I can t get a picture when using a usb flash drive . this is the second one I bought , the first one I sent back because the dvd disk lid wouldn t close . I will have to trash it and buy something different but certainly not a ieGeek .
Picture was good sound ok until it stopped working!! Worked last night, turned it off, turned on tonight it’s charged nothing! Not even trying to read if I can’t get are placement or my money back this vendor should be banned!!
I have ordered 2 of these. The first time they sent me a used one when I paid for a brand new one. They replaced with a new one immediately. Unfortunately, both did not turn ON after being charged for over 24 hrs. The directions say you only need to charge about 6 hrs. This is a shame. I need to return the 2nd one but it isn't letting me submit the request because the 1st one had to be returned too.
BEWARE -- I really don't know why this product gets such good reviews!
Being on a crazy fitness kick, I decided to replace my old portable DVD player with another -- a better rated product. I travel a whole lot - and it's nice to be able to bring the workout with me.
Well, I finally just unpackaged this product last week: ieGeek 11.5" Portable DVD Player with 360° Swivel screen, 5 Hour Rechargeable Battery, Support USB/SD Card, Directly Play AVI/RMVB/MP3/JPEG, Purple
I threw out the packaging on recycling day, because I'm just that crazy optimistic, I guess.
Just a note that it scratched ruined the new DVD I bought with it in the first use. Then I tried another DVD - that one also started skipping, and I took it out and the back was completely scratched up. (Note -- I've used that disc repeatedly without issues.)
This item is just JUNK. For me, it's past return period, and I know I threw out packaging, so I cannot request a refund. I just send a word of caution out about this product to other potential buyers. Yes, this is super cute and gets good stars...but find another portable player. You'll be happer, and so will be your discs.
This little player was great for the first six months....a bit louder than our old DVD player, but fine. After six months it started not playing most dvds unless there was weight/pressure on the disk area (like the latch doesn't hold the door shut tightly enough). Now one year later and the volume buttons only randomly work and sometimes the buttons make other options come up - other than the button that was pushed. So, great player for one year...if you want one that lasts longer...choose a different brand.
