*I am receiving a free gift to write this review*. However I am going to be honest in my review. The picture quality I feel is just okay, it seems to have like a purple tint to it. I haven’t messed with the controls yet to see if I can adjust. Also, the functionality of the remote is not very good. If you have a rear facing baby, and the device is folded to only show the screen, the remote doesn’t work well. It has to be pointed directly at the equipments transmitter. So it’s not as functional as I was hoping. The device itself is pretty lightweight, feels cheap but so far has worked pretty well for what we wanted it for. I cannot attest to battery life, we have just kept it plugged in thus far. I don’t know if I would buy again. I think it’s important to note, this is our first portable DVD player.
The screen Is no where near as large as the seller advertises it to be, the highest volume achieved on this device is still quite low and the surface easily scratches and smudges. Picture clarity and quality could be better. Image clarity and color is often distorted and dark. Just barely passable as a portable DVD player.
I watched a movie first time yesterday and I can't hear the sound with the column on 20, the highest it goes. I'm going to ask tech support for help. Picture is great. Remote has too many buttons for what I'll be using it for but I will figure it out. If I get the volumn fixed, it's perfect. I will love it. I'll send an update.
I do not like the push-button volume controls. I would prefer a dial type volume setting. Even at the highest setting the sound coming through the speaker is very weak. The picture quality is good, but the lack of volume thru the speaker is poor. I would rate that part a 2-star.
