Works perfect. Obviously based on the price you can assume they are thinner than the ones you can buy at the store, no one said they’d be top notch for the price. They are decent and seal tight at top and round opening. I actually prefer this to my Huggies one due it the soft plastic it’s made of. This holds an entire refill pack of wipes. I kept 2 and gave two as part of a gift basket.
The pouches are study plastic zip bags. They work well in keeping the wipes moist. It’s nice that there are four of them— I keep one in the diaper bag and the other ones in each of the bathroom for diaper changes.
We buy our baby wipes in bulk from the warehouse stores. The problem is when you do, only a couple packages in the box are resealable. The rest are meant to be refills so without a means to reseal it, you cut the package open and place them in a refillable container. But if you don't have a refillable container, (if you're like me, you keep baby wipes in practically every room so that's easily $100 in JUST refillable containers! Who does that?!), the non-resealable packaged can dry out before you're 1/2 way through, which I HATE (they're called *WET* wipes).
Earlier on, this wasn't as much a problem because the baby dutifully doodied or made a mess so frequently that we went through said open packs faster than a chainsmoker empties a carton of Marlboro Reds. But now that Junior is potty trained, proficient with a fork and spoon and has mastered drinking from a cup, open packs of wipes can last us a whole week!
It was time to find a cost-feasible solution to the numerous dried packs of baby wipes. These fit the bill just nicely. Nothing fancy, complicated or ornate- just a simple, convenient means to deploy wipes whilst maintaining their moisture.
I make my own wipes using 12 in x12 in microfiber wash clothes. because of their size only four will fit inside- but at that size and absorbency I’ve never had a problem. i mix the solution in each case and have only had a few water droplets sneak out when I’m filling it up. they keep water in and the snaps make attaching tone diaper bag easy. I ordered 4 packs of 4- of the 16 one strap has frayed in less than a month and I’ve had no leaking once they’re sealed up. They are smaller than I thought but at the price they are totally worth it. Honestly for the price they could be way junkier and they would still be worth it. Cant speak for regular wet wipes- but for my needs they are wonderful.
UPDATE: 6 months later most are holding up just fine- but I’d say a quarter of them the plastic lid has pulled away or even come off the bag. the straps have all stayed strong though. A few I’ve been able to reglue- and honestly I stuff them pretty tight with my oversized washcloths. That said I’m buying another pack because it’s still the best I’ve found and like I said before for the price it’s worth it.
