The battery typically lasts about an hour but my real problem is that these only last a few months and then they will no longer turn on. I have bought five of them for our three vehicles and as much as I want to love them for the price, they do not seem to hold up for me.
I did so much research before I settled on this portable dvd player. Ugh! Man did I make the wrong decision! While the picture quality is great, the player feels very cheap and I don't expect it will last long. We bought it to use on a plane for our 2 year old. You couldn't even hear on the plane with the volume all the way up with or without headphones! Even at home, where it is quiet, the movies are barely audible with volume all the way up at 20.
We bought this dvd player in September for school. My 10 year old has used this every day. The dvd player has done pretty well until yesterday. It slipped out of her hands and fell to the kitchen floor. The screen now shows vertical lines and all blue screen. Really bummed that it did that. Tried calling the company to ask them if there was anything I could do to fix it. There is no way of contacting them. It's really frustrating when you can't reach out to the company.
It was good for a little while except the remote hardly ever worked in the car. The holder was a great bonus that came with it but it obstructs the lense for the remote signal. Now, 1 year later, it won't play for more than a minute or so before it says it's "open" and just goes to the screensaver. No matter how much I've messed around with it, it won't play anymore. I'm really mad I didn't get my money's worth of use out of it.
EDIT: Broke after 30 days. It no longer powers on! Super disappointed.
This saved my life! Lol. My 4 month old has HATED the car every since he was born. I’m talking non stop screaming the entire car ride. So I got this and placed it on the headrest where he sits, and...silence! Thank you Jesus! Also I recommend baby Einstein videos if you have not tried them, they are amazing and really keep your LO interested even from a very young age.
Well I was super stoked at this find and based on the reviews really hoping that it would not disappoint and We like it only sad thing was did not come with AC adapter as stated on the page. Wish it had my son loves his dvds but can only watch them in the car and not while at home
If it was not for that I would easy give 5 stars...
The remote that came with this doesn’t work. I’ve had it a little over a month and the car charger no longer works. And I just missed the return/exchange window by 7 days. Disappointed. My son really liked it too.
I gave this DVD player 2 stars because it feels and looks cheaply made and the remote does not work, even with the battery in it. However, it is easy to work and is great for traveling with small children. I do not believe that this is worth $55 but at the same time I guess it is okay for now.
This DVD player was great until my toddler kicked it while he was sitting in his car seat and it was mounted on the back of the seat headrest, it’s completely useless now and won’t work. Super bummed, wish it could’ve withstood more..
The product isn’t TERRIBLE, but it’s not great either. The dvd freezes up (new and used DVD’s have been played) and the remote is pretty much the only way you can control it, aside from breaking is completely apart...which is hard to do at certain times. But the battery life is good and it was fairly inexpensive, so it will do in a pinch.
