Ok parents that are going on A Long Road Trip No bs review ready! It worked as discribed. Twin girls 4years old Beat the crap out of them! Cheeto crumbs and juice spilt on it. Still ticking. This product does not save you! Buy new movies so they dont request a new one every 30 minutes! Figure out your on the road charging. It was easy for us because we were equipped for it. It still works! Nj-florida and back! If we did not have this a child would have been left in Florida.......
Great DVD player with very easy compatibility for the car. Picture and video sound good and clear. Comes with attachment to go over head rest of the car and DVD player flips around and folds back as shown in second picture. Come with all chargers and remote. Charge last for 8 hours plus.
This was a great upgrade from my previous portable DVD player. We used these for our long road trips with the kids and to keep me awake at night when they are all asleep. The screen is way brighter so it can be watched when the sun is out. The remote helps adjust this down at night to stop from blinding me. This one doesn't whine in the speakers when it is plugged in charging playing through aux cord. I will say the 11" screen is not as big as I was expecting. I cant 8magine how small the little ones are. I was thinking it was going to be too big to fit in the space in my 2012 f150 on the dash, but it actually has some extra room. Also love the double earphone jacks* it's a good perk. So far no issues after multiple trips and my little boy using it in his room when he wants to watch the same movie he's watch a thousand times and we don't...lol
Good for the price. Good picture quality and it came with a head rest holder. After only a few uses, the car charger cord came apart. The battery does last for about 5 hours so as long as I remember to charge it before a trip it’s still worth it... the other issue for me is the volume is not very loud. If you are using headphones this isn’t a problem but we have ours in a van with 5 children so only the 2 sitting directly in front of the DVD player can really hear it. But it kept my littles happy for a 20+ hour drive so it does the job!
Update: After I asked if I could purchase a replacement car charger, they sent me one immediately for no cost!
Took this camping this week end and was able to watch two full movies and still had power left. This is what we actually purchased it for. The picture quality was very good and clear. It came with something to hang it on the back of the seat in a car and fits well. The grand kids will like that. Room for 2 headphones so they will be able to watch and not bother others in the vehicle. Some have said the battery did not last long but we found that on initial use it lasted 3 hrs and 48 minutes. Upon a second charge it lasted 4 hrs and 53 minutes and after the third charge we watched those movies camping and still had power left. The movies lasted almost 4 1/2 hours. So, it should be good for the time frame the seller advertised. Nice item and we like it...
My mother’s house is a 12 hour drive from us so our road trips are no joke! My son is 6. He’s gone through 2 DVD players so far! They were the plug in type that had to be plugged into the lighter at all times to work. The wire came lose from the DVD player on both! One at the DVD player and the other at the charger. This DVD will be our last one. If this doesn’t work, I give up. This player is awesome because it holds a charge! Yay!!!! No wires to rip out! We’ve used it for a little over 6 hours unplugged and it still works. The pros: 1. the box that it came in has a handle and will help preserve the life of the DVD player and keep all of the components handy! 2. It comes with a wall charger, a car charger and even has a USB port if you need to charge that way! Always a way to charge! 3. Comes with a case that will attach to the back of your seat and keep the DVD player safe and in plain view for children in the back seat. 4. Very clear picture quality! 5. Easy to load dvds. 6. Has a remote so the children don’t have to remove the DVD player from the seat holder case! Easy restart volume, pause, rewind, etc.
There is only 1 con. that I can even think of at this point. The screen rotates and then you can fold the DVD player into a tablet form instead of a laptop form. I’m not sure what you would do if that breaks but I’m willing to give it a shot because it works for us! And, the no wires thing! Also, it isn’t extremely loud (I actually don’t mind that at all) it has a headphone jack! Perfect! I recommend this item! 5 stars from us
I needed something small and easy to use for my son during car rides..a tablet wasnt an option because hes still too little to fully understand how to use one so i figured a dvd player would keep him occupied enough to not scream while sitting in traffic lol. Glad i went with this option...so far out of thr box it looks pretty good, comes with a car charger, extra cords, a wall charger, a case to attach to the back of the seat and best of all a remote with so many functions..which is great and can be operated from the front seat. Hes not getting it until Christmas but I tested it out and the picture and aound quality is really good and it works right out of the box. Overall happy with the purchase and cant eait for aome quiet car rides lmao.
I hope this Review and Video are helpful - Having used it for several hours, this DVD Player does a decent job in several areas: 0-- The Menu System lets you control anything from Brightness to Contrast and more, to Display format, to DVD-restart memory On/Off, Language and Parental Control, to Setting a Password, or Reset to Factory Default 1-- Acceptably loud speakers with reasonable quality considering their size 2-- The screen (9" actual display area) is very sharp and bright with good contrast and excellent color 3-- You can turn the screen off should you want to only play Music CDs 4-- A Backseat holder for the DVD player + a Car Charger (cord is 5ft long) 5-- Excellent connectivity: Audio out (2 headsets), a 5' A/V to RCA cable for external TV, USB and Card ports 6-- Plays continuously even when shaken or hit 7-- Can play various Video formats (but not MP4) Dimensions: 9.5" x 7" x 1.8" , 1.8 lb / 820 gr What could make it better: - Colored keys on the Remote for easier read - Placing the Sensor of the Remote on the screen panel instead of the front of the bottom panel - Show how full the battery is - It did not read a USB flash drive I tried, or maybe it's just 'me' (SD Card was read fine)
Update: after I posted the original review below, the seller contacted me and offered to send a replacement. As of now, it doesn't have any issues that the original item had, but I have not used it for very long. I really appreciated that the seller stood behind their product and offered a solution that works. Changing the review to 5 stars, but will update again if something happens with the new unit.
I bought this portable DVD player in May to use on our camping trips. We used it for the first time in June on a 2 week long vacation and had it attached to the headrest in our truck. After that we connected it to our TV in our camper using the cables provided, and was able to use it a few times that way. Then it just would not come on. The power light turns on, as shown in my review photo, but it does not make any noise like it’s powered on nor does it read/play DVDs. This was a waste of money for only a month of use. The DVD player wasn’t dropped or damaged and it was kept in moderate temperatures, so the only explanation is poor manufacturing.
This is exactly what I needed. The lack of Bluetooth is good because everything in my vehicle seems to be Bluetooth and interferes with everything. I just pop this in the van, kids have a show on the go. Ordered a soubdbar to travel with it, will be here in a few days. Soundbar will give surround sound on drives. Maybe order a 2nd one for my 3rd row seating for gaming. Good size and lighting.
