One month in and I love not having to spend money on these batteries that don’t last. I find this very easy to plug in and use. I tried another system (a “fake” battery pack power cord) and it didn’t work for me at all. The cord is very long which makes choosing a location very easy. I am a little concerned about the very fragile looking “tape” part that goes into the battery area but it seems to be holding up. I wouldn’t want to put any pressure on it.
a wonderfully made product it came intact to and to the description. but I found the newer models of arlo cameras are not supplying a place to release the area provided. to bad as it is a greatly made product too even with a usb plug supplied with it that's a great feature.
Simple and easy to use. Instructions were not that great. Have to pluck out a little rubber cover in the battery compartment. Watch the video and don't try to unscrew and dissemble the camera like me. Its basically a long USB cord that is really thin at the camera end. Comes with little cable management tabs with a peelable sticky side. Not sure as to how well it sticks to walls. The thin USB cord sticks out from battery compartment preventing the cover to fully close 100% as it wasn't designed that way. Camera May not be as weather resistant! But to not worry about battery replacement is awesome. Will buy another.
So glad that I found these...no more batteries to replace! Those batteries work completely fine but they are SO expensive, and I had finally decided the time had come to convert all of my cameras to plug-in.
I've updated three of my five cameras so far...….VERY pleased with them. As the batteries expire on the other two I'll replace them too.
UPDATE: All five of my cameras now carry this device and I'm totally pleased. The connection cable is EXTREMELY long but solid and the internal connection that ties the plug into the battery compartment (under a small port they'd apparently created with this in mind) worked fine. I suspect it might pull loose if it got moved a lot but where it is there shouldn't be any problem at all.
We have multiple Arlo security cams but one that is in a high traffic area and needed batteries every few months. Purchased this power adaptor specifically for this high use cam. Very simple installation and, after several weeks, seems to be working perfectly. The system shows that the cam is “fully charge”. My initial concern was with the ribbon cable that is attached to the power pack and gets pinched between the cam battery compartment cover and the body of the cam when securing the cover. It seems to be very delicate so I was extremely careful not to damage it when closing the battery cover. So far I have been very pleased with this power supply. I plan on monitoring it for a month or so and, if it continues to function, will be ordering more of these.
These were difficult to install didn’t go in like the manufacturer said, you had to cut away part of the plastic on the camera to get the wire to fit in the camera and the camera’s battery cover to close. Then one of the power supplies failed within a month of being put into use. Will persue this with the supplier.
