To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I was skeptical of the claims of this product and the reviews I had read since it seems like a pretty mild cleaner, but I used this on my two male mice's cages, tunnels and hideouts and I'm blown away. I previously didn't think anything short of running the blazing waters of the underworld with mild soap over their stuff for several minutes would get the stank out of their stuff, but this stuff works... It doesn't take a crazy amount nor does it take several attempts to get things nice and neutralized either. My only regret is honestly not purchasing this sooner.
This product is amazing, it removes stains and doesn't leave any residue. There is a scent to this product just like any cleaning supply, but it's not bad at all. I love this product, however I highly recommend you to not purchase this through Amazon and instead purchase them from a physical store. I usually purchase this from a pet store, but had to purchase them through Amazon recently and when my package came in I already knew something was wrong because the box was soaked and warped. I opened it and sure enough, the bottle was half empty from leaking. I'm pretty sure Amazon team are aware that it can leak because it was put in a plastic bag that was tied. I asked for a replacement and got my second one --- also knew something was wrong because it was extremely light. I opened it and this time, the bottle was completely empty with residue all over the inside of the bag. Either Amazon or Nature's Miracle should look into finding a way to keep the cap from unscrewing, which is what is causing the leak. Again, the product itself is amazing, but I highly recommend that you get it from a physical store.
I bought this cage cleaner to clean our two guinea pig cages. We have three guinea pigs with two conjoined MidWest Guinea Pig Habitats. If you’re familiar with the green canvas bottoms in those cages then you’re also familiar with those micro-one-directional annoying indents that make it seemingly impossible to get all the embedded junk out of it. Even with regular cleanings & deep cleaning little bits of the guinea pigs’ mess are in those textured lines, and that’s the reason I needed to buy a cage cleaning product.
This particular cleaner caught my eye because it was affordable and had high ratings. The product states that their bio-enzymatic formula penetrates to eliminate embedded cage odors, which is the major issue that our guinea pigs’ cage needed it for. However & sadly, it didn’t work as well as I expected it to. I had high hopes for this product because of what I read about it.
I followed the directions. I took the guineas out and out them elsewhere. I took out all their hide-aways, toys, bowls, chews, fleece etc. Then I made sure the bottom of the cage was swept well. Then I sprayed the cleaner into the cage. I completely saturated problem areas. The corners of the cages are the worst because of the micro-textured-lines. I put a small “pool” of the product in those areas because there is no way just a spritz if product would have done anything for those areas. I let it sit for the five full minutes until I went in with a scrub brush. As I was scrubbing I noticed the mess was still not coming out of those lines. I cleaned the first round of product up, and then re-sprayed everything. I had to do this process three times before I noticed a difference. I never fully got the bottom of the cage back to the green canvas again. There is still mess embedded in those micro-lines. This is the first product I ever used and I wasn’t blown away with its efficiency. One thing that I can apprciate about this product is that the scent of the product isn’t bad. The smell of the product doesn’t linger, which I liked a lot.
