This item does not have an uk 5v adapter. After getting power supply to work and set up the unit, I found that every few seconds the picture and sound would cut out and then come back on a few seconds later. Because of this I am sending it back.
My set-up with 2 TV's on one cable box with one first going thru HDMI connected surround sound receiver then to TV would not work with a simple HDMI splitter. I had to constantly reset the splitter to reestablish the signal. This unit is able to sense and re transmit the HDMI handshake as needed when tv's or receiver is turned on. There is a momentary signal dropout for a second or 2 when the handshake is reestablished, but perfectly acceptable as it works 100% of the time.
I tried several different types of splitters from Amazon all hoping to find a great way to spin easily switch between devices without having to unplug cords each time. This is the best one I’ve tried so far. It’s a great way to keep all of the cords organized and manageable well allowing me to plug in multiple devices at once. I highly recommend this splitter!

I'm trying to connect two Samsung TVs a 4K and a 2K to an Xfinity cable box that is 4K compatible. No matter what I do I cannot get the 4K to run at 4K and the 2K to run at 2K. The only way I can get 4K on the 4K machine is to have the EDID switch on copy and the duel switch on off. With these settings the 2K TV will not except the signal. Is there an appropriate setting that will work? Believe me I've tried every combination several times. Is there a necessary sequence for the connections? Can I get this to work?
I am editing this review giving it five stars. The excellent customer service by Orei clarified things for me. And I believe my 4K and 2K TVs can be hooked up to this splitter with the appropriate resolution.
This Orei 1x2 2.0 HDMI Splitter with Scaler Audio Extractor is really a cool product. Works very well and is incredibly easy to install right out of the box--very little, simple, intuitive setup. Our new tv only has optical audio out which is not compatible with the 2nd room audio function in the receiver. I discovered that this is a very common problem. (Our old tv had both digital and analog audio outputs so this problem was never manifested.) This device converts the digital audio to analog which is compatible with the 2nd room audio function of the receiver. Also, the new tv is 4K, so I was somewhat worried that the picture quality might suffer due to the signal splitting within the device. Thankfully the device has no effect on the awesome picture quality. I am very satisfied with this device and highly recommend it. It also has great, reasonable pricing.
