Too much work for newborn

This little thing is small and fit the size of our newborn but I wasn't a huge fan of how hard it pushed into his stomach. The little rubber piece was a little more solid than flexible and I personally thought it would be uncomfortable for the little guy. It was also a huge hassle because every diaper change you need to swap it out to the new diaper and newborns go through a lot of diapers! In the middle of the night I had a tendency to just take it off because it was just too much effort to keep messing with it.
In the end, I spent the money and got an owlet smart sock because you put it on and then you don't have to mess with it until morning. The sock also gave me feedback about just how well he was sleeping which I ended up liking way more than I thought I would.

Closing thoughts: If you absolutely need some sort of monitoring system but can't afford the owlet then this would work, but I ended up not using it because it required a lot of effort to make it functional on a newborn.

A must have for a first time parent!

I bought this as a cheaper alternative to the Owlet, and let me just say, I am so glad that I did. After doing research for literally MONTHS and finding that most Doctors do not recommend the Owlet... I decided this was the MUCH better option.

The tip (which looks to be silicone) attaches to the top of the diaper and will either blink green or make a faint noise when it registers your baby take a breath. If it does not register a breath within 10-15 seconds, the monitor will vibrate and let off a short alarm (Loud enough for you to hear as well) to try and startle baby. If after another 10-15 seconds, it still has not registered a breath it will set off another longer and louder alarm. Even through light baby pajamas and a cream colored swaddle I could see the faint blink of a green light which was reassuring the first few weeks.

The monitor will blink certain colors when it has a low battery, but to avoid the battery dying, I switch it out every month. I’m sure you could go MUCH longer... but again, first time mom. The monitor does not seem to bother our son AT ALL.

In the first week or two we had several false alarms.. but when we would check on our son we noticed that it was because we did not get it attached securely to the top of the diaper as we were trying to avoid it irritating his umbilical cord stump. Once we started to secure it properly, we haven’t had a single false alarm.

Highly recommend this product.

Great concept too soon to tell yet

We have only had this for 5 days. Granddaughter was born a week ago so don’t have much to review except if this is not clipped on just right, it won’t be touching baby in the right spot. This will cause you to have a small heart attack. My daughter woke up and screamed thinking the baby stopped breathing and it was the snuza wasn’t on perfect and alarmed. Hoping it is never really needed though it is there just in case

I couldn’t use this until my son was around a month old because it didn’t fit and I was worried about his healing belly button. I prefer the owlet but use this when it is charging and on the go (I.e. being watched by grandma).

The product seems to work when i test on myself. However, i have not been able to use it on my son yet as the sensor is required to be placed on the bellybutton, and he still has his scab. I wish the product was smaller. Seems bulky for my baby. I'm not sure it is worth the cost. Thinking i should have spent the extra $150 and gotten a higher tech product.

The monitor hasn't gone off yet, but has a small green light that can be seen through a sleeper, letting you know that baby is fine during the night. Just need to know that it can't be used until the umbilical cord falls off and heals.

We use it for our baby that sleeps on his stomach so we put it on the side. Sometimes when he moves the motion detector is not directly on him and it beeps so in the morning i dont always know if it was a fals alarm or not. But better safe than sorry
