I want to preface this by saying it will most likely be hard to get them on your cat. Cats don't like it very much when you clip their nails and play with their paws. This being said, I have a lot of practice and was able to get them on easily and they have by far been the most durable soft claws my cat has had. The glue is good and has held longer than any others. Usually he would lose a few soft claws by the end of the month but one month later and he still has all of them this time. Its important to know that colors are random, so there aren't 10 of any single color. If you care about your cat having matching claws front and back then these aren't for you.
Bought a new sofa and knew my cat would be ready to destroy it just the same she destroyed the old sofa. I knew what I was up against. With the help of friends I got the caps on her claws and the first thing she did was try to chew them off. For a couple of weeks it was her pulling them off or chewing the tip off and me applying a new one. Finally I tried trimming the claw cover and put 3 on in the same day and she did not try to chew or pull off. I think the less it covers the claw, the more comfortable it is for the cat. It can be hard to know which size you need. Bought medium but small would have been better but trimming is not a problem for me. The glue is very bonding and I love the variety of colours!
If you buy this product I have an important tip!! Trim down the open end of the claw cap so your cat’s claw goes right to the tip. This will bother the cat less and avoid the cat biting off the ends of the claw cap.
Cat didn’t love the process of putting on the caps so it was definitely a two person job for me. However, when someone was holding her, the actual application was very easy. Just fill with nail glue and slide on.
I was really impressed with the durability of the caps, all of them lasted over a month, and the last three are still hanging on over two months later! The flip side of this is that I’ve no idea how to get the last few off, but they really do stay for as long as it claims - and I’ve got a young, energetic, troublemaking kitty.
I think the selection of colours is really cute, my only complaint is that, since I have a polydactyl cat, I’m forced to give her an accent nail.
My cat was not bothered at all by the caps once they were all at the correct length, and they’ve effectively saved my furniture, shower curtain, and my arms. It’s also funny because you can hear the caps on the floor so I always know when she’s coming.
These are wonderful. So easy to get on our cat. Luckily she is a softie and stayed easily for us to do it. I’ve Added photos to show how good they are. Although my husband who wanted to try to do one, put one claw on the wrong way round lol cat isn’t bothered though and it gave us a giggle. Two days and they are still on, Cat is happy and no more carpet pulling.
These worked great to prevent my cat from scratching a sensitive spot. She has been over grooming an area on her neck for a couple years (seasonally), but when I put a cone on her she is still able to scratch the spot with her back paws. These caps were a bit difficult to put on, as to be expected when touching a cats paws, but I was able to swaddle her comfortably with just her back paws sticking out. They have been on for about 2 weeks and my cat is cone free and scratch free! Her neck looks great and she has an adorable little paw-dicure on her back toes!
These were a lot easier to put on than I had anticipated. One or two fell off once in a while but it was so easy to pop it back on. The only problem I encountered was I went ahead and put them on before doing my research or watching videos. I think I put them up to high and it caused him a bit of discomfort. After a day or two he barely notices they are on anymore. I recommend them for somebody who needs to deal with cat scratches like we did.
Was about to pay 35$ to ask someone to take care of it when I saw that online. Since it was that cheap I tought I would give it a try and I am very glad that I did. I was able to do it alone in about 15 minutes for the front claws. My cat have them for a week now and it's pretty solid ! Thank you. (Bought XSmall for my 6 months old cat)
These were suprisengly easy to put on. The cat didn't even notice the first few at all. She walked funny for about 1 min and then was back to her normal self. They have stayed on for 4 days so far. No more scratches from kitty or new holes in the furniture. Great price since its 15$ for one set at the pet store.
works great for cats that like to scratch. Just need to make sure to trim the ends off if they stay on for over a couple weeks so it doesnt grow around and start touching the pads. Makes it harder to trim if left that long. Also trimming makes it easier for them to fall off on their own.
