Product seems to work well so far. Haven't had a chance to use it in strong winds yet. Probably would be worth the money (not a cheap umbrella) but disappointed I received a defective product.
The product was received broken (minor defect which doesn't effect the product from working). Call me pedantic, but when you pay seven times the price of a compact umbrella from K-Mart, you expect it all to be in good condition not as if it were a second hand purchase! If it were a major defect, the same Amazon return policy would be applied to what I was offered. The refund charge of $32 upfront is excessive! Slightly understandable if there was a turn around time of 3 days. However a required wait of 2-3 weeks for a refund... then would have to order the item again and wait a further few weeks for delivery. By this time, Winter would have already passed and defeats the purpose of me buying the umbrella.
In the mean time, the stitching at the top circle will most likely come undone a lot faster compared to if the round plastic bit was actually attached. I've only used it twice, yet the stitching is already coming out due to no cover protection.. So not too sure what the expected life span of it is.
My first time purchase from Amazon is a disappointing one to say the least and has completely put me off any future purchases.
