I wear my watch 24/7 - not just when excercising so this may not be the case for others. However, during the day, the little "hoop loop" piece that keeps the excess part of the band tight against the rest of the band does not work well at all. It is too loose and the little tab that comes down to limit movement is too small. The result is the excess band just sticks out till I fix it (see pic). With coats and long sleeves shirts, this happens 10 to 15 times a day and is super annoying. This did not happen with the original Garmin band.
Band fit perfect on my Garmin 3. Quality seems great. Only issue i've had is the return loop that hold the "extra" part of the band. On these bands there is a raised nub that fits in the holes to keep it from sliding around. The nub on this band isn't as thick as others and lets it slide up the band and the tail hangs out. Not a big deal, but noticeable and annoying at times.
This band is by no means a quality garmin band. The retaining band is does not secure the band when wearing and the quality is not close to Garmin quality. I’m only giving it 3 stars because it is a band, it arrived when expected, and it does come with the drivers necassery to install. Other than that it’s notworth the time if you expect it to be secure.
I ordered this watch band not too long ago to replace the original OEM band on my Fenix 3. Item arrived promptly. Was well packaged. Band is of good quality and I consider it to be pretty comfortable. The two Torx headed mini screwdrivers are pretty good quality. Only gripe that I have is that the little watch band holder that holds the excess Band After You clasp it to your wrist broke off on the first day
My original band broke within 10 months of being used. When I received this new band I kept the old one to hold on to the clasp and any other parts that I might be able to use later. When this part broke I took the original off line original band
Overall I am very happy with it quality is pretty good. Have not had any issues with it and find it to be pretty comfortable
This band is ok. Not bad, not great. My last replacement band was better, but I couldn't remember the brand. It was better for two reasons: ease of replacing and the band keeping the strap in place. This band is replaced like a regular watch band. You have to use the tiny tool to squeeze the pins to get it in the watch. My previous band snapped on, which was way easier. This band comes with one small loop to keep the strap from flipping around. My wrists are small, so I have quite a bit of excess strap. This little loop slides too much and the strap comes out, making my watch at risk of falling off. I added another loop from a previous watch band to keep the excess strap next to my wrist.
These bands are a great and economical replacement for the Garmin bands, but I have a bit of a nuisance problem with the watch band keeper. The watch band keeper (the small rubber ring that keeps the extra strap from flapping around) is not very secure and I am constantly having to tuck the strap back under this as it seems that the rubber notch inside isn't deep enough to latch into the holes in the strap underneath. This is particularly problematic when working out as I'm always trying to tuck it back in while riding one-handed on gnarly mountain bike trails! Maybe it needs two of the keepers?
I was looking for a new band for my original Fenix GPS watch, which has been apparently orphaned by Garmin. I took a chance and bought this one because the pictures showed a large diameter mounting bar hole. It turns out, this band works just fine if you have a slip jaw pliers to push the bars in place and a T9 screwdriver to remove and install the mounting bars. The band comes with T6 screwdrivers which are useless to you in this case. If you have some mechanical abilities this band will work out nicely for you.
The wrist band is fine, but one of the two tools that came in the package was stripped. I can't get the old band off because you need two working tools. Instead of being done with replacing my broken watch band, now I have to try and find a miniature tool set. Really a pain.
