I have a history of severely dry hands with deep painful cracks on most fingertips. A dermatologist (who took 2 months to see!) told me to use heavy moisturizer (as if I'd never thought of this). I've tried good quality moisturizers overnight with cotton gloves -- no major changes for me. On a lark, I tried these odd-looking hand mask gloves. The 20-minute suggested use felt pleasant, but was clearly inadequate. Throwing caution to the wind, I went to sleep with a pair on. Wahoo! I wore them for roughly 3 hours, removed my now very clammy hands from the gloves for a bit while my fingers 'de-prunified', then stuffed my hands back in the same pair till morning. Noticeable improvement! Some of the results naturally wore off in the course of the day. But with a repeat use with a new pair the next night, I saw some promising improvement. I'm on my second order of the product, follow my extended overnight use pattern, and am slowly seeing my hands actually heal. If you're someone with normal hand dryness, I imagine 20 minutes would be fine. But anyone with issues like me would want to far exceed that time. It's worth pointing out you'll enjoy these more if you like coconut/tropical island scents. And while you can use a tablet or phone keypad when wearing these gloves (as advertised), it's going to be a clumsy experience at best. But for me, I'm willing to put up with a lot of nighttime inconvenience to have my hands feel halfway normal. Repeated overnight use is making a difference. Hope this helps someone who is tired of going thru boxes of fingertip bandaids on a steady basis. Would definitely recommend with the above caveats.
I have extremely dry and chapped hands and I needed to find a long-term solution that did not just involve reapplying lotion every chance I had. Luckily, I stumbled upon this after reading articles on how to care for dry skin and this was the most affordable option. The package arrived earlier than expected and I tried it on that night. It was a bit difficult to put on the hand gloves and strap on, especially after I had already put on one hand. I waited 20-30 minutes and after I took them off, my hands already felt a lot softer and smoother! I like that I saw immediate results but it lasted around 2 days until I had to use another glove. My only complaints are that the gloves are tedious to put on sometimes and that there are only six. However, I will be purchasing more to see if there are long-term results!
I work in vet med, and during all this cover stuff, we are washing our hands like crazy, not that we weren't doing It often before. My hands were raw and I had scabbing on my one wrist. After using just one of these my hands are already starting to feel softer and less damaged. The rough patches seem a lot better. It did burn at first, but keep in mind my hands were at a point of almost bleeding.
Folks, these are not supposed to be miracle workers. If your hands and feet are severely dry, you'll want to do some prep work to help them help you. They do what they are supposed to which is to assist in hydration but one time is not going to bring back dehydrated hands and feet, so do some prep and plan to use the product a couple of times for best results.
A couple of tips:
*Note that they are heat activated. So if your hands and feet tend to run cold, put socks and/or gloves over them when in use, to assist the product in working its best.
*Use a stone on your feet before putting on the socks to allow the moisturizer to get into your skin.
*Also, make sure to wash your hands before putting on the gloves to help open your pours. Do the same with your feet if you don't do any other prep to them before putting on the socks.
*Lastly, know that there's a good amount of product in them in which your hands and feet will not be able to absorb it all, so plan on spending a minute or two messaging in whats on your hands and feet when removing the gloves and socks. This helps awaken the cells under the skin which allows the product to continue to work.
And, of course none of these things need to be done in order for them to work like lotioning your hands and feet as you normally would. But if you're looking for optimal results then I hope you find these tips useful to get the best value out of the product. 😊
These “socks” are awesome! My feet only feel this nice after a pedicure. Also for me, I was able to use them more than one time. Just kinda spread the moisturizer around to make it an even distribution. When from the outside of the sock you no longer feel the product, time to toss them and use a new one. I will definitely buy more of them, especially during our dry chilly winters
These weren't bad. Fairly easy to use, but I didn't love the smell. It's not strong, but it's one of those smells that made me wonder as I was applying them, what kind of chemicals am I putting on my hands? Afterwards, my hands felt soft, but it didn't feel like it lasted very long afterward. But I have eczema on my hands, so I may not be a good judge, because they might work great for someone with better skin than I have
