I bought this shirt based on reviews so that was my mistake. This shirt is great if you need rugged and that's it. Like, if you're grinding steel all day and want to block the hot sparks, this is your shirt. Other than that, it isn't comfortable at all. It's thick, heavy and the collar is so high that it's up in your face and back of head. And I'm 6'4" with a long neck to give an idea. I took it off after ten minutes because it annoyed me.
First, if you are new to Carhartt, you must always get one size down when buying shirts. Do that and your new Carhartt shirt will be a perfect fit. This shirt is incredibly comfortable, extremely well made and durable. It is a lightweight shirt, perfect for work, going out, around the house, or anything else. The shirt tail can be tucked in or simply worn outside and loose. This shirtlooks great with jeans, khakis or work trousers. The left chest pocket is actually two pockets, very nice. The cotton fabric is very soft and a joy to wear. The collar doesn't bother your neck, very nice fit.
I'm impressed with the higher quality and ruggedness this style of the Carhartt shirt is. I purchased several of these in different color, short sleeved, and not sure if this particular one has the snap buttons in front instead of standard button-hole fastening. The snap buttons much more user friendly.
This fits well and is exactly as expected. I especially like this style as the pockets are large enough so that my glasses and pen do not fall out. The material feels strong and expect this shirt will last long.
I really like the workmanship, well done pockets WITHOUT FLAPS! They are very well sewn and fit well but if you use their sizing chart measurements, buy the next size smaller. I measure up as a large but the medium fits perfectly.
If you remember the classic S133 work shirt, you will love this. All Carhartt button down work shirts run a complete size small on me. Tee shirts and shirt-jacks are true to size....have never figured that one out. Riggs workwear has the only long sleeve shirt equivalent to this in my opinion.
