I came across this bundle while looking for strap locks, and I had been looking for a strap for my acoustic. This was only a few dollars more than the locks I had seen, so I thought "Why not?"
Holy cow! The quality was far and above what I expected at this price point, and the headstock strap is just icing on the cake. I even like the picks that came with it!
I'm a pretty big guy - especially in the area where the guitar rests when it's on a strap - so I was expecting kind of a tight fit, but, no. This guy expands to fit me right where I need it, and feels secure and stable.
I whole heartedly recomend this little rig for anyone that needs a good setup for an accoustic. Haven't tried on my electric, but I have no doubt I'd feel the same about it there, too.
I'm not a professional musician, just your garden variety home recording guy who just wanted a simple guitar strap. Something to grab when that moment of inspiration hits. But it better be safe and hang onto my instrument, it better be solid! Nothing super fancy, no need for cool graphics or logos. Just a solid sling to hold my axe. This one fits the bill quite nicely, more my style: simple basic classic. I tugged and pulled on it pretty good and I'm pretty sure my Les Paul won't be hitting the floor any time soon. It not only did it fit in my budget I bought an extra two for others in my growing herd. Low price, solid construction, works for me!
Sometimes, comfort and strength are not compatible, but with this strap, you can count on both. If a strap is not wide enough, it will cut into your shoulder in an uncomfortable way. If it is too wide, it can impede your strumming or fingering the frets. This strap is just right, and adjusts to a length that is perfect for you and the size of your instrument. The retainer rings are very handy although the strap ends were very snug and there was no danger that the strap would skip off the button. I was also impressed that the seller contacted me with the offer of any assistance I might need, even before the product arrived. The seller seemed to really be interested in customer service. The product is so we'll made that I will probably never need that help, but it adds value to the transaction.
My 11 old just took up guitar and her guitar instructor recommended we get her a strap. This was a great price and seems very sturdy. I can't comment on the comfort of it as all of this is very new to her so after about 10 min, she was uncomfortable with it on. But I imagine it is something she will get used to. The only con was there were no instructions included on how to intall the strap. For most people this may not be a problem, but for people who are new to guitar, instructions would be very valuable.
This would be a perfect strap if the fabric were stiffer. The fabric is very soft like a cloth belt that I think would be perfect for an acoustic guitar. Unfortunately for something heavy like a bass the fabric bunches up at the strap locks and I just don't feel confident it will hold up to the weight.
Comfort and craftsmanship is excellent. The design is absolutely beautiful and matches beautifully with my Ibanez acoustic. Wil definitely be buying more for other guitars as these straps are worth 3 times as much. If there was a con I would have to say the leather strap that is provided for head attachment is on the flimsy side but still I’m still confident in it’s durability. The picks are even a decent medium light and work really well with my installed custom light strings. Don’t hesitate to purchase these straps. They are great!
These are great for my electric guitars. I have one on a Strat and one on a Tele with no issues whatsoever. They adjust well and feel sturdy. The pick holder is handy.
They did not fit my acoustic/electric well at all, however. Part of the reason is the place to attach the strap is also the output jack, and it’s a bit oversized. This might be specific to that particular guitar, but I’m docking a star. Otherwise these are great.
It’s pretty and functional however, the piece that they give you to hold it to the neck of the guitar, the metal button on it DOES NOT fit through the hole on the strap. For that matter the nob on the bottom of the guitar barely fits the hole in the strap. The leather is thick and the hole is very stiff and small. But since they also give you a tie, it works. But I wanted the strap cuz I don’t like the look of the tie.
This is a really nice strap. I especially like the pick holders. What really set this apart was that I received a message from the company the day it arrived letting me know that u could contact them directly with any questions or issues. To me letting your customers know you are there for them if there is an issue is great customer service and speaks volumes as to how seriously they take their business. As a guitar addict, I see a lot more of these straps in my future.
These are pretty thick washers and seem very sturdy. However they were too thick for me to use. My strap is a relatively thin Ernie Ball but these were still too thick to get a good grip on the shaft of the strap holder. Fortunately it was a minimal investment and I’m sure I’ll find some other use for them !
