Man dog literally finished the treat before I was able to to use the rest room and return to my office. I might of been gone 4 mins maximum. seriously I was like where did it go did you drop it.It's gone eaten in her belly did I forget to mention my dog is a Chihuahua. That is right all 6 lbs of her finished this LONG LASTING treat in less then 4 mins. waste of money the value for my dollar was not found in this product for sure. LONG LASTING really needs to be removed from the description only way these are long lasting is if you never open the package.
Several 1 star reviews are based on how long these last. They are a healthy, highly digestible, and very good quality snack. They do not last long but the ones that do are usually not so good for our pups! I hope they can lower the price a little bit, but either way I love this product! My boy demands one if not two everyday! If you love your pet but can only afford a little bit, then only give as a very special treat!
My dogs are rotten! Usually when I buy treats 1 or 2 out of 3 will like them, but these were loved by all, even the extremely picky Peewee! When you hand him anything food related, he doesn't take it right away. He makes us hold it while he tries to decide if he wants it. Not these!! These get rudely snatched from our hands and quickly disappear. My only wish is they would last longer, but there aren't many things my dogs like that do!!
I have a 5 month old english lab, who constantly wants to chew something. We tried bully sticks, but they smelled bad, and he swallowed a piece (and then threw it up). I liked these turkey tendons, as they were sourced in the US, didn't smell, and was easy for the puppy to chew and digest. It didn't last as long as I wished, but he enjoyed it and it didn't have any negative effects on him. I ordered the rope version for the puppy, thinking it would be a long chew time for him.
These are advertised as USA-sourced, but are in fact made in Vietnam. They are also listed as 100% turkey tendons with no additives, yet the ingredients are "Turkey tendon, Coconut Glycerin". I have not yet decided whether to keep or return these, but am leaning towards returning. I don't like to give my dogs products manufactured outside of the USA, and I certainly have not seen Coconut Glycerin in any of the other brands of Turkey Tendons we've had.
