I use this for making coffee. It can be used as a pour over method or infused like French press in the mug you drink out of. Easy to clean and super light. So light that it could dent easily. Great for travel.
For those making Thai iced tea, make sure to put the aromatics in first (at the bottom) and then the tea. Carefully pour water over tea until it reaches the top of the infuser then place lid on it. This makes sure that all of the flavor gets steeped. I had never made Thai iced tea at home prior to purchasing this. What a nice treat.
This thing works like a charm! Love it! The double layers keep all the tea bits from floating in my cup and since the inside mesh layer is so fine it doesn't trap any tea particles in the mesh, so its super easy to clean up as well! I also love that the lid doubles as a little tray to set the wet tea leaves in the filter on so it doesn't need to be rinsed off right away!
I love this product every time we travel I always use to pack a small sieve for my herbal teas and the mesh used to get destroyed and get torn or become wonky. So I decided to invest in an infuser. I love this product I can make all of my teas in there not just powder but also flowers, leaves and dried lemon grass too. I have not tried coffee yet but I will soon. It basically for me replaced the French press when packing and worrying about the glass braking. The infuser becomes quite hot so watch out. I loved the lid on top it really makes the tea tastes better if you leave it to steep for a few minutes. The cover gets stuck when lifting it so use a thin sharp knife if your water is pipping hot because it sticks to the infuser because of the heat so just wait. They asked if the product was sheer no it is not you cannot tell what is inside at all and it is not visible. Be careful while lifting it and do it slowly then tilt it to one side and wait for the drips to come down then take it out and set in a a bowl aside because it drips.I would recommend this product to anyone who loves tea and whenever visiting someone you can bring it along with your favourite tea and all you need is hot water and enjoy. By the way I also put powder like Turmeric and Cardamon it works too.
I poured a good hour into researching tea bag replacements after learning that many tea bags contain plastic. Plastic+boiling water doesn't really entice me to steep for 5 minutes at a time. Thus, I wanted something that could hold finely-ground tea leaves (as I drink Yorkshire Gold very regularly).
+Micro-mesh holds very fine ground tea leaves flawlessly. +Stainless steel removes the hormone-disrupting leaching problems associated with plastic tea bags. +Simply rip open tea bag, pour in loose leaves, pour in boiling water, job done! +Super simple cleaning process. Rinse for 10 seconds and it's as good as new.
I really like this tea steeper. I had one like it before, but that version didn't fit a new mug. I found this IPOW which was more narrow (fit my mug) and also deeper which I liked. The fine mesh is incredible, doing a fine job steeping the tea yet never leaving any tea leaves in the water, even when very fine. The only negative is that it requires rinsing every time. My previous model dried out enough that I could just dump the old leaves out and then use it again. This one leaves a little water in the bottom which means the leaves are always a little damp and can't be dumped out dry. However, thanks to the fine mesh, it's super simple to wash out and in fact gets more clean with a simple rinsing than my previous model. So even though I wish I could just dump out the old tea, I'm happy with the cleaning process. Overall I'm extremely happy with this and happy I chose this one.
