Apparently the guys at The Drop thought they'd take a bunch of slips and pass them as skirts. This thing is super flimsy and cannot be worn by itself, unless you want people to think you left the house without finishing dressing. The fabric, 95% polyester and 5% elastane, is soft and flows enough, but very thin and super clingy. The waistband is the worst: a poorly sewn-in elastic band that is too tight and twists. Do not waste your money on this.
This skirt is great! I expected it to be “eh”, but it’s fantastic! Flattering length, flattering cut, well sized (some amazon stuff can be real wonky), and great feel. I am impressed and will be ordering in another color, for sure
I miss the 90s, and I'm slightly obsessed with the throwback slip skirt trend happening now. I've ordered (and returned) a fair number of brands and styles over the past year or so. This is my favorite out of the 5 or so that I have in rotation right now. I like the weight of the fabric. There are some complaints here about it being too thin, but people, it's a satin slip skirt, not tweed wool, set your expectations accordingly. It's light enough to move nicely, but it is not see through. If you are worried about underwear lines or textured skin, wear a slip, problem solved.
Colors: I got the lime and LOVE IT. I also ordered one in silver cloud, which I immediately returned. I was hoping for a winter white color, it's more of a cement--kind of tan/grey. Hopefully there will be a cream or gold color at some point.
Fit: exactly as you would expect, I found this very true to size. I'm 5'4", this hits me well below the knee, but it doesn't come off as frumpy or dowdy because the shape is nice. Very well constructed, seams are good, elastic waist is finished nicely.
