These are fine if the thickness works for you (they are thin). The screws that come with these have smooth shanks for the top 3-4mm. That means if you drill the right size pilot hole for the threads, it will be a little tight for the top of the shank. That's important because these are thing, which means you will likely need to bury the whole screw. Since the screws are so small, they will thus SNAP. Really a bad outcome when it means you have a metal threaded shaft now embedded in your precious guitar body right where you need to sink a new screw. So drill your pilot hole, and then go one drill bit size up and drill a larger hole for the top 3-4mm and you will be fine.
Cheap enough but quality was a little lacking. Big paint run in the paint on the black model. Metal seems flat/thin and also did not seem to be a standard hole pattern so no go when using as a replacement.
I wish you had a mid depth, these are a little shallow, I need something twice as thick. It's ok for the neck position but I need something taller for the bridge. Any thoughts? A very nicely made product for sure
these are worthless, they are to small to fit a standard covered humbucker, they are both exactly the same thickness which is super thin so even if they fit, which they dont, only one could be used in the neck position because the bridge ring needs to be thicker, also the base does not have a taper as it should. also, the holes dont match my guitar which i could have dealt with but all in all ordering these was a complete waste of time and money
Screw that come with it are cheap. Was tightening down the pickgaurd and the screw snapped in the guitar. Would not recommend the screws to anyone! The plates also didnt go flush with the body (esp EC-1000) and had defects on the surface of the guards. Just get normal plastic ones and wrap them or something. These are not worth it!
i bought these for a client's guitar along their request. The pickup rings are very thin and the screws holes are two small for the screws which are not gold like in the picture and or like the rings. So now I have to order gold scews.
