I thought this was neat considering I am of the age of home phones/land lines. It is more comfortable for long conversations and your not putting a dirty cell phone on your face. I can hear perfectly well through it although the person I talk to claims I sound a bit funny but could hear me. That didn’t stop us from having 1hr+ convos. It easily answered ringing calls from my cell when connected and it also easily made calls. The cord is a decent length and allowed me to stick my cell in my pocket as I talked. All in all it’s a very decent purchase for $10 and I would recommend it.
I have a galaxy S9 phone and the volume control doesn't work. I have to adjust that using my phone. However, the hang-up function does work. The call quality is okay. It's a little soft but still works. However, people on the other end say they have a hard time hearing me. Maybe that depends on the call quality. I like that I can hold the device and it feels more natural than holding a square up to my face but the actual quality is mediocre. I will still try to use it but it's only okay.
I really hate the way earbuds put the source of the sound within my cranium.... Now that I’m zooming all day for work, I love the way this handset keeps the sound (and radiation) outside of my head. So many people compliment me on how sweet and retro it looks. I suppose it‘s because of my gray hair, but many people believe I am somehow zooming on an old landline phone...um hello, we are seeing each other right???? I frankly do not understand why everyone does not have this! Love! I now have two of this type of device—one for my desk work-spot and one in the bedroom for personal calls. I got different brands to compare and contrast... I love them both!
At this point in time, this product is OUTSTANDING! Plug and play simplicity, well made, and gets the job done. I am very satisfied that this handset gives my TCL cellphone the capability that it misses ... clear, understandable voice transmission from my callers as well as mine.
The "Fort Knox" factory packaging is the only difficulty I encountered . Careful knife work will allow it to be opened and retained for possible return. Otherwise, the factory packaging can be opened with abandon? Made in China
I just got it and just plugged it into my phone and it worked, no problems, no set up, and worked great. I really like it , I have hearing loss and have never been able to hear well on these flat smart phones. This puts the speaker back in my ear so I can hear well and the microphone back down to my mouth so I know I can have a normal conversation. Okay I am 63 and spent all my life with this type of handset so I am very comfortable with it. I no longer have a landline so the cell phone is my main communication and it is important that I hear what someone is saying. I can't speak to how long it will last but it appears to be sturdy and well built.
I wanted a retro phone handset that worked instead of one that was a prop. I thought this would fit the bill but it came up short. The sound quality emits a crackling sound like I am actually speaking on a vintage rotary phone. I love the look and idea, but it does not perform as I had hoped for.
That's right, keep that microwave blasting unit off your face! Simply plug into your headphone jack and chat like your time machined back to 1982! Sounds good, easy to use. Great for keeping stashed in your car to limit time your handheld computer is smashed against your face.Obviously not suited while driving, but great when chillin on lunch break chatting.
