The stand will topple over if I don't balance my NT1-A w/ shockmount correctly - fair enough, the mic is fairly heavy, I can deal with that but I have to worry about the stand toppling over and my mic being damaged every time I use it. However now, a screw or something inside broke and the legs have disconnected from the stand, and I can't fix it (screws are literally broken for some reason). Also the shockmount wont unscrew from the from the stand, no idea if this is related to the legs disconnecting from the stand but it happened at the same time, so as a result, I have an unusable mic stand and I have a perfectly good shockmount permanently attached to it, so now the shockmount is useless. Save your money and buy something more well built and higher quality.
Does a job. Using an Auna 900B and it holds it fairly sturdily, which is no mean feat given its a heavy microphone with a thick old school usb on the end. Wasn't sure what to expect being an unknown brand to me, but wasn't disappointed.
I was a bit apprehensive that it would not take the weight of my Tonor condenser microphone, but as you can see it's fine. You do have to position it carefully so it does not topple over, but once positioned it's fine, unless of course you knock it which is unlikely where I have it. Great value little desk stand and the quality for the price is amazing. Highly recommended.
Expect this item to be HALF THE SIZE you expect it to be, its only 150mm tall at its lowest setting which you have do to splay the feet so the weight of the microphone does not over balance it, again you have to line up the microphone with the footstand to stabilise it when assembled.
