I am a noob to midi so let me share my exp.. When i plugged in and played in my intel it automatically picked up.... however with Ryzen it had problems on my PC as it wasn't detecting .. (they do have a fix its a firmware upgrade which you need to do OR use any usb hub to pair which was weird actually)... Secondly.. .When it comes to playing my hands automatically touch the left most touch sensitive fader while playing (which happened like 9/10 times) you need to be careful.. Otherwise the software bundle is good, i wish they could have included massive x .. the explorer function is great .. IT doesn't pair with FL studio very well with FL it is generic midi ... however with Ableton it works flawless... the knobs can even control the albeton volumes etc. I just with they had an octopad like AKAI MK3 ... i have a lot of VSTs ..yet to try ..a lot of learning curve too ..will update in a month
There is one thing that really bugged me about this purchase (and it is my fault because I recall that I read the thing prior purchasing it).
It's a very decent keyboard for the price. Very functional and works well with my DAW (Cubase). So, the things that annoys me is that the keys are not proper "regular" size. They are a bit smaller. (But like I mentioned, it was well written on the page. It's just that I forgot about it when clicking "Add to Cart"...
But for any beginners that want a small keyboard to control their midi setup, I think it's a good controler.
The workflow adjustment that this keyboard demands to use to its full potential is a hard bargain for me. Unless you really need this specific layout and form factor, I cannot recommend this keyboard in good faith.
Much of the unique and useful functionality that I purchased this keyboard for is wrapped around the Komplete Kontrol software, meaning that you have to load all of your plugins inside another plugin. Without having done this, the M32 functions as a bare bones MIDI controller, provided you have downloaded NI's gated proprietary driver software. There is no plug and play functionality and DAW integration is borderline nonexistent.
I simply don't believe there is any good reason for any of these things aside from maligned priorities. There are cheaper and more functional options out there that are less hostile to its users. I am unfortunately left with a slightly bitter taste after my purchase and for that reason I feel compelled to leave a negative review.
