To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
It fits snugly in to Pelikon, Kaweco and other Chinese Fountain Pens German perfection is visible. Ink could be filled without any air bubbles. Writing smoothly from the filling till the inks is exhausted. Air travel safe.
While the converter seems to be of good quality, it did not serve my purpose. Neither did they fit in my two waterman fountain pens nor they could be utilized in a miniso fountain pen. I don't think its correct to market it as a universal converter.
After a glitch (someone tampered with the package and removed 1 of 2 ordered), which was remedied by wonderful Amazon service, I received these Schmidt fountain pen converters, which are simply far superior to the ones that come with many Chinese and other fountain pens that use international converters. (I even got an old squeeze style converter on one Italian pen.) These are worth the noney.
Got a fountain pen at a pen show a couple years ago. It came with a converter. I did not bother to ask questions or worry about the converter malfunctioning. Well it did. Thought since the fountain pen was one which was one of a kind the converter was also. Did some research and figured out it was a Universal Converter. After reading the reviews, even though I saw one which looked like my original, I selected this one. Could not wait until I used up the ink which was in the malfunctioning converter so I could put one of these in it. This one is much better. It is sturdy. It is no-frills but that is also what I love about it already. Glad it came as a pair although I doubt I will need the other one for this particular pen. I have perhaps a couple others or at least one which could also use this type of converter so having a spare is good. Arrived really fast and packaged well.
I bought the Beiluner Luxury Fountain Pen from Amazon and really like it, but I misplaced the box with the converters, so when I went to refill it, I was out of luck. Ordered these, hoping they would fit the pen but they don't. The Beiluner has a smaller barrel tip than this. I won't bother returning the cartridges since they don't advertise them as universal, but I did want to warn anyone else who is hoping they fit the Beiluner pen Amazon sells.
These are not standard international converters, or at least not the ones I received. They are different than the ones pictured. One of them was cracked through the metal band. Both have plastic obstructing the opening.
If you need a standard converter Schmidt is the only brand to consider. Others may work, but I've discovered over the years that Schmidt ALWAYS works. A new pen was supplied with a "German" converter." I constantly had a problem with hard starts, ink not flowing as it should, etc. Replaced the unbranded "German" converter with a Schmidt converter. Problem solved.
While the unbranded converter looked good, it wasn't. For a couple of dollars difference all the time and aggravation I spent chasing down the problem, it turned out to be the cheaper converter.
Go with Schmidt and be sure the converter says Schmidt.
