As usual from Olaplex, another amazing product. The smell is incredible and you actually only need a pea sized amount as when you rub together and apply to damp hair it goes a long way! I made the mistake of putting too much on and it makes the hair greasy so only use a very small amount.
I apply this first then follow up with the no7 bonding oil and let me tell you my over processed bleached hair has never felt or looked so good. My hair was in a terrible state last year so purchased the no3 which I use less often now as its brought my hair up to a great condition, so now i just use bondi boost shampoo and follow up with no6 and no7. Honestly can't recommend these products enough :)
I'm a bit of a dafty when it comes to my hair and some how always find a way to destroy it. My latest stunt with a ceramic barrel brush burned my hair so badly that even after a cut it still looked fried and dead. I cannot stress how bad it looked. I used numerous conditioners and home made remedy's but NOTHING was working. I ordered this yesterday after my hair dresser recommended it and I am SHOOK at the difference!!!!! Its made my hair soft shiny and smooth. SOOOO happy I could cry!!!!
I already use Olaplex shampoo and conditioner, so naturally I decided to try this new product in the range, Bond Smoother, and so far I am pretty impressed. My hair was super frizzy (dry and static) after the summer months - too much hot sun - so I needed something to replenish the hair for the long term as well as make it look healthy and shiny straight away.
This really made no difference to my hair whatsoever . I had the olaplex 1&2 done, then used the 3 at home and bought the no 6. I really don’t rate any of them. My hair infact feels worse than it was leaving me with dryer ends. I defiantly won’t be purchasing again.
Have only used this product once so far, after washing my hair with silver shampoo to brighten up my bronze looking blond. Didn't use any conditioner, wanted to see what this product did, hair was very dry & knotty. Added about 50p piece to mid/end length of hair & let dry naturally (I have alot of hair, length is definitely below mid back) My hair is very unruley when I don't blow-dry it, however after just one use, my hair was less frizzy, looked less broken & is soft & easy to brush out 2day after washing (this would not be possible if I did this with even a mask conditioner) Definitely interested to see how this works alongside conditioner, blow-dry etc. Thumbs up so far.
I was sceptical whether to buy this as some people said it’s fake, so I bought this one and also an authentic one from an official olaplex supplier to compare the difference.
I have taken pictures so you can make a decision for yourself. The one marked authentic in the pictures is the one that I purchased from the official supplier and the second bottle is the one from here. The texture of the product is lumpy, compared to the smooth original, the cap is screwed on back to front and the font is different and slightly bolder. They do smell pretty much the same, which is kind of like the blue and pink liquorice dotty jelly sweets.
I can’t say for sure that it is not real, but it does not reach the standards of the official product from the official supplier. Perhaps it is an older bottle and lost its original texture or just an older style. I would not buy the product from here again because of the difference in texture. Quality is very important to me when I have bleached hair that needs a lot of maintenance to keep it in good condition.
But despite this, it has given my hair a smoother texture, taking away a lot of frizziness off the ends and it is really moisturising without making your hair greasy. It does work and does as it says on the tin, but I’m not sure if it is authentic.
Dried my hair out the first and last time I used it. I couldn't figure out why everyone is raving about it. Turns out it is basically full of silicon. Dimethicone is the third ingredient by quantity in this. Surprising for the price of this!
Not as helpful as I hoped. I thought this product would smooth and nourish my dry hair but it’s not as effective as I thought it would be. My blow dried hair did not remain smooth in hot weather. It went fluffy even though I used a good amount of Olaplex. The design could be better too ie you have to really shake and bang the plastic bottle to get the product to come out.
