My daughter was thrilled with all the extras (they were fun). The welcoming email was great and made you feel like if you had an issue they would help you with it. My daughter is 220 and 5,8, it bent a little in the center she has to use a lot of core muscles to use it. I did email support like they asked with question is there something that can be done with the bending (I assumed it had to do with the inflating) NO response to 2 emails a month apart at the beginning and middle of summer still no response.
Takes A LOT of effort to pump up, so much that you almost don't want too take it out when you're done. An automatic pump would fix that though. But my biggest gripe, that was the real issue for me, is that it had issues holding air. I noticed it losing rigidness as soon as I took it out on the water. It was great for the first few minutes though, which is a shame. I tried to find a hole, but couldn't. I have a board repair shop that works on inflatables as well, but I can't justify keeping it and paying to have it repaired after one use, so I'll probably be sending it can and just sticking to my wood and epoxy boards.
To be clear, it just came in and I have not been on the water yet but I need to give my feedback as I’ve been on several different paddle boards. Long time renter and decided to buy two (which I’ll get to below).
I’ve been on inflatables before which is why I bought this one rather than investing in hard boards. There is no comparison even to other inflatables. If you paddle often you will tell right away this is inflatable. The ones I have been on before feel like hard boards, not this one. I can’t imagine this on anything other than a still lake.
On the side, I can already tell I will have to patch it and probably soon.
As for inflating, it’s not bad at all. I got it to 15 psi in about 15 minutes. Sweat a bit but totally doable. No need for an electric pump at all so for that, I’ll give this board some kudos.
The other reason for the poor rating. I ordered two at the same time, this teal one and one navy one. Scheduled to arrive on different days. The day the navy was supposed to arrive it never came so I called Amazon and they didn’t even have any in stock, had no idea when they were getting it in, and no idea why nobody notified me! No clue if that is the vendors fault or Amazons but completely ridiculous.
At the end of the day, I love paddling and there is no way this is going to cut it. I decided to purchase two hard boards from a local company. I’ll keep this one for my 12 year old for when he wants to tag along. If you are fine with it feeling a bit inflatable and using occasionally then go for it, otherwise I’d reconsider. Going to try it this weekend and will update.
It’s a nice board and the kids are having fun, but my order was missing 3 items: - The second paddle to convert into a kayak paddle was missing. - Sunglasses Strap was missing. - Ankle bungee chord attachment was missing.
If the manufacturer would send what is in the actual picture that would be appreciated and I could update my review.
This is an okay board for beginners. It holds air well. It is pretty stable for a inflatable board high off the eater. The plastic pieces are cheap and breakable. The plastic piece to inflate the paddle board snapped on me and does not lock properly. I can no longer use it since I cannot inflate/deflate it.
