This is a very cute little jacket; however it is very thin material. I would say the material is no thicker than any kids Summer button down shirt. From the picture, I thought it would be a thicker coat that we could use to go with my granddaughter's Christmas dress. Her dress is warmer than the jacket. Also, there is while stitching. (under the collar cuff and other areas that you can't see) This makes the coat look cheap. I do think it's a cute design, just be aware that you aren't getting a thick or even Winter coat. We sent ours back and went in another direction.
I knew ordering this for a winter coat was a risk but I gave it a try. I ordered the warmer style but it still wasn't that warm. It would be a nice fall jacket but since the weather in my area when straight from summer to winter, I returned the coat. I gave it three stars because I specifically got the "warmer" one and it still wasn't enough - otherwise I noticed no flaws with the product. It did not have much stretch to the material so I would order true to size or up a size.
Super cute, and appears it was put together well. But, it's thin. Like, really, really thin. Had I known it was basically a fancy windbreaker, I probably would have bought a different item. But, my daughter loves it, so it will stay.
In all fairness, the product description states it is a “trench coat”. I thought that I would give it a waterproof spray as another customer did and make it a raincoat. It is definitely not rainproof as you can see what happens when I attach the hood. The rain would fall directly on my daughter’s neck even with the collar up. So I will be returning it.
Unfortunately looks nicer online. The hood doesn't fit at all, it's way to small and looks ridiculous!! It's more decorative than practical. They also seem to run just a bit to small for my kid's ,and they're average build.
