If you are looking for a stand that will LAST for more then 3 months this is NOT the stand to get. I do wigs often and I’ve had this stand for no more then 3 months and it’s now broken. The first month it started getting ready unsteady the head will move no matter how tight you adjust it and it officially broke yesterday. So I would suggest you spend jus not go the cheap way if you need something long term HONEST review.
I ordered this tripod a day after Xmas and got it after New Years, it cane double boxed but was still damaged. Not sure how it came with scratches and marks on it but it did. It look like the picture but it’s not as sturdy as I thought.
It broke while I was using it the first time, and the bar you use to set the height was completely nonfunctional right out of the box. Luckily Im short so I didn't have to crouch over it, but if I were 5"5 or taller it wouldve been horrible. The plastic that you screw the head into broke at the rim so the whole head just flopped right off and messed up the hair style I was working on. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because its still somewhat functional if you throw on some duct tape :/
I’ve had it for a few weeks now. I finally got my wig today and when I used it the first time I worked fine. The mannequin head kept leaning to the side no matter how many time I tightened it. As I was combing the hair on the mannequin, the top piece popped off. Now I can’t whine the head to go up or fix the piece that goes back inside.
It seems like it’s a pretty good tripod I haven’t put it together yet but the thing that turned me off is that I was expecting it to come with the maneqin head The name and the label and in quotations under Amazon‘s choice says stand WITH MANEQUIN head
The stand is really good the only thing that bad is the piece you put your mannequin On moves so much even if you tighten it so it’s hard to do certain stuff like pluck a frontal I wouldn’t suggest this stand to people who do wigs
I gave this an over all 2 stars because when I received it and finally put it together to use a piece was broken and it had already passed the return time. Now I just have a broken stand that I cannot use which sucks
When I first started using this stand I was completely satisfied! After about three uses, my mannequin head would not stay up and the steel bar in the middle lost its resistance. I would not recommend this stand for long term use.
