This is my first tripod purchase, for recreational use, and I must say it is very versatile and budget friendly. I am 5’ 5” and I can comfortably use it while sitting on the floor, chair, or standing. It doesn’t slide when I have it on the hard wood floor, which is a plus. There is an appliance hook, crank to increase the height of your mannequin head, and a leveler to ensure all legs are fully extended. It also came with t-pins and duck clips, which was a nice treat. So far so good!
I honestly thought it came with the mannequin head because it shows on the pictures. I wish the disclaimer would have been in the pictures and not at the tail end of the description. For a simple kit like that doesn't seem hard to understand and as a customer, I'm already sold by looking at the pictures since it pretty much highlighted what I needed to know. At the same time, I should have read the description in detail but didn't think I needed to because even in the other reviews that customers talk about, the tripod and mannequin head to me was a sign that it is sold as a kit. Other than that, I really can't complain because I got what I actually paid for.
I did a lot of searching for a tripod and I decided to purchase this one. I have absolutely no regrets. I got all the goodies with it as well. It’s taller than I at its full height and I am a tall girl lol. It can also be adjusted to suit if I’m standing or sitting. Overall I’m pleased with seller and item received.
P.S. - Make sure and follow the instruction manual properly otherwise you may think it’s short. The first step is the most important one.
I really like this stand. It’s my first one so I don’t have anything to compare it to. It stands over 5’7 with the manikin on top at its highest height. Lowest height is about 3ft. It seems sturdy enough, only time will tell, but maybe a little flimsy when open to absolute full height. Almost every aspect can be adjusted. See pictures. I will use this occasionally for myself and my ten year old uses a manikin as a doll head to practice hair styles. For now I stuck it in the window to scare people. :)
I used to only use a C-clamp for styling wigs, but when I moved into my current home, none of the furniture had a good surface to clamp my stand onto. So I finally decided to get an actual stand. I don't know why I waiting for so long!! The price on this is excellent and I can adjust the height to whatever is most convenient at the moment! It's got a nice handle on it, so I can carry it up or downstairs (I do crafting in different areas in my home a lot). It also comes with a nice carrying bag! Some of the adjustment knobs need to be tightened EXTRA tight, so that's my only word of caution. I love this stand though.
The best purchase I've made in a long time. Brushing and styling my wigs used to be a hassle, but this device is a dream. Couple it with a portable steamer and you can make even the toughest wigs behve like soft hair.
This wig stand reminds me of what a professional would use! I love that you can add your blow dryer or something light to the bottom to weigh it down a little. It stands alone well. The small leveling bubble on it is a nice touch based on how you have to adjust the legs. All of the items that come along with it were the icing on the cake. Love it!
A great steal !! I’m his is the best wig stand I have ever bought. It was clamps to adjust the height and stickies in the bottom so it will never fall! Very sturdy very easy to assemble. They even have a option to add height to the wig piece ! YALL NEED TO SNATCH
It has pros and cons for the money it’s 100% 5 stars. But for what you paid compared to the quality & the random gadgets and stuff it’s not the greatest.
Pros: It can go super high! I’m 5’3 1/2 FT and it reaches with my canvas head to about my forehead. It has a little hook at the bottom so if you’re using it on the table it’s convenient to put your cord on however it’s also a con as well bc who needs to bed down that far to reach the hook when it’s standing? Another pro is it came with cute little goodies, and little carrying case!
Cons: the carrying case isn’t really sturdy it’s like a small gym bag IMO. The ball moves a lot when I’m trying to brush the wigs, however that could be because of my canvas head. Another issue is it does feel plasticy/ and cheaply made but it’s only $19-24 so it is cheap compared to other wig stands.
Overall 3/5 stars. I do like it, it’s just most likely going to break soon because how cheaply it’s made.
Completely adjustable. Very impressed. now .. (personal opinion only)the included stem is a bit small in diameter for most heads. ( I switched mine already to a more girthy one i had from another table clamp) Well worth the price i paid at the time. It stands with (3)Three telescoping/three tier, lock tab legs. That have cute wobble feet (SUPER NICE) You could level this stand on a set of steps then there is a crank that raises and lowers head like fishing reel with lock screw. arrived in nice packing box in amazon box. In the nice box was a carry bag. which is sturdy for a stand, wide shoulder strap, zipper. . also a set of T pins snap shut box mesh black hair net and plastic hair clips A stem and nut to attach a styrofoam head to tripod is included in box.
