The soft neck material is nice. The gap in the buttons between sizes is not good. For some reason there is a large gap between the smaller size and larger neck snap openings, so for some people it's too tight, or too loose. Also, because they are snaps that are very firm holding, if you do not carefully up apart the snaps, you will rip the very fragile rubberized neck material, as I did. Would have been much better with a velcro closure, in my opinion. Also, the branding/design on the cape is way too conspicuous... not cool for high end salon use. Looks tacky.
2 issues with this cape: 1 durability 2 hanging it up I was so excited to use this product but within 6-10 uses the foamy neck wrap part tore away from the cape material! I exchanged it for a new one and am trying to be very careful when removing the cape. Also, there is no loop or hole in which to hang the cape when not in use. I don’t want to hang it from the neck wrapping part due to the rip in the last one. I’m struggling to keep it on the hook when bunching it up and hanging it upside down. May have to make something for it just so it doesn’t keep falling on the ground
Got this for covid cuts my wife started to give my young son and I.
These capes are required because the hair just goes absolutely everywhere. The material is lightweight, and the hair doesn't cling to it. You still need to shake it off a bit, but it comes off without much effort. We usually get our cuts in the garage, due to the hair going everywhere, and garage clean up is easier.
The cape is lightweight, and doesn't feel like it's making you too hot as you wear it. The neck clasps, and soft rubber makes it nice on the neck and the hair doesn't he inside.
The price on this product is a bit more than others, but it's worth it in my opinion.
When I started working as a self employed hair stylist finding a quality cape was way harder than I thought. I tried many different brands before buying this one and now I want to eventually replace all of my capes with only framar capes! I am so impressed with the quality I can't believe they're not more expensive! I swear I have gotten cheaper feeling capes for more $$. The collar is so necessary and just gives me that extra peace of mind that my client isn't leaving itchy. Check out the color capes too!
This cape truly is AWESOME. The most perfect cutting cape I’ve used. Why? Because the collar on the cape is rubber so it’s more comfortable for the clients AND no hair or water drips down the back while washing or cutting. The cape is a very good solid black so it’s not going to fade or look dingy after a while. They’re cute logo is displayed on the front and it gives me an opportunity to talk about something I love with the clients and rep a brand I want every stylist to know about. Thanks for creating a cape that should have been created years ago!! Not to mention the amazing price too.
I Love my new Framar cutting capes! The top is almost rubberized and it really keeps the hair from falling down the back of people's shirts. Super soft, and my clients love that. Also framar is spelled backwards so when the client takes a mirror selfie, it's spelled correctly, that's a super cute touch! I also have the color capes and highly recommend them!
I ordered this because since we’ve been stuck in quarantine, my sister has started cutting and dyeing everyone’s hair at home. I wanted something durable that wouldn’t only last a handful of uses and need to be tossed out. This is perfect! The adjustable neck is a great feature—we used it on children from 4 years old up to adults and it fit perfectly. The rubber neck is also a nice touch for comfort and for keeping anything from getting underneath
Amazing idea! This cape combines lightweight protection with a genius idea of including a neck wrap in the design of the cape. The neck wrap section is a soft, flexible, gentle fabric that helps seal the neck area, preventing hair from creeping down in to the client's shirt. Several clients have commented on how comfortable the cape is, and it's been especially helpful with kids who feel the itch of falling hair a bit more sensitively.
I've been fighting with the closure on salon capes for 20 years now and finally I have found the most comfortable, easy to use, FLAT lying cape ever! No more snaps or tabs getting caught in my comb during cuts and NO MORE hair all over my client's neck! Literally never using anything else!!!💓
As a hairdresser of 8 years, Framar will forever be my go to products! My clients love the comfort of the rubberized neck and can’t forget about slits so they can use their phones! I will definitely be buying more!
