Good quality shorts, clearly well-fabricated. They are sturdy and can be easily washed Perhaps most importantly, they fit comfortably and are soft to the skin. Given that they are made from cotton, it breathes very well. Although the listing description is a bit duplicitous, claims the shorts are 100% cotton but then also states they consist of a a 95% cotton and 5% polyester mix. Either way 95% is sufficient for me. The two pockets are good and deep which is important as I have other shorts with shallow pockets that make my iPhone fall out al the time, which has caused damage already.
These shorts have a fairly smart appearance and make me a little more presentable both in my garden and during WFH. However I mostly use them as to sleep in. For that purpose I would have proffered them to be slightly thinner, but can’t complain as its a good type of shorts. The waist elasticity is adequate, but it comes with a drawing string as well, which is vital, after all, I will wear it commando-style quite often, and my children like to pull tricks on me.
With respect to the price point - These are not cheap short, given that I also ordered 2-pack shorts set for less than the price this single pair of shorts. But the quality and design of this one is visibly better and the colour more subtle.
Just wanted some bum-around-the-house-shorts, and for the most part, these would fit the bill. I've had them for a few weeks, and they seem to be well made and the material is comfortable. The legs are quite long, as other reviews state, but my only real complaint is the fit. The legs are pretty small/tight. And...how do I put this? When I sit down, they dang-near strangle my boys. Honestly, when I first tried them on, I thought they might be a woman's cut. My wife says this is the millennial trend, a gym-short version of skinny jeans. Well, OK. I guess I'm old-fashioned and prefer shorts that are, shall we say, less restrictive? They're well-made shorts, so it's a shame, but I will have to keep looking. I ordered a Large and am six-foot, two-hundred pounds.
For reference: I am 6'3", 250 lbs, athletic build I typically wear a 36/32 in men's jeans, but size up to a 38/32 with a belt in order to accommodate my thighs which are larger than "standard" due to weight training. I picked these shorts out as a gym option in the hopes that they would be compatible with CrossFit training and I have not been disappointed. I ordered a grey and black pair in XXL and the waist fits well, (With the broad drawstring which ties securely, they can be a little large and not have a problem)
The actual leg portion of the shorts is, as reported in other reviews, considerably longer than what you may normally expect if you are accustomed to traditional American sizing. For me, both pairs fell well below the knee and only expose the patella during a full squat. That isn't necessarily a drawback for me, but it is somewhat unconventional.
The quality of the fabric is certainly as good as needed, especially considering the price point. The cut of both shorts were consistent as well, but the gray shorts feel considerably softer than the black shorts upon first trial. I assume it has something to do with the dying process and I am hopeful that the black pair softens after a few washings.
All in all - very happy with this purchase and a quality product well worth the money.
I bought four different pairs of XL athletic shorts to find the one(s) I would like the best; Russell Cotton Jersey, Hanes Jersey Cotton, Amy Coulee casual, and Janmid classic fit.
First runner up is Amy Coulee Men’s Casual Shorts, Gray.
What stole first place from these was only looks. These are nice.
They are well constructed and the material looks like good quality. The fabric drapes well and they don’t bunch up in uncomfortable places. The wide waist band, and overall cut looks like shorts I’d put on to go down to the fitness center and work up a sweat in. Snug enough not to go flapping in the wind but not so snug as to bind me up.
My review: Nicer than most. Well made. Should get lots of use out of these. Looks like something you intended to get sweaty wearing.
The color is exactly like the item listed. Fits perfectly well around the waist but they are very long. Going past my knees but it’s ok because once i wash them, they will shrink a little. I wear a small but I’m glad I got a medium because I have a big butt. Lol.
I have bought a number of sleepwear shorts on Amazon recently and these are the best. After wearing the mm a few times and washing them a few times, I bought another. The material is great, the pockets do not drop my iPhone 7 plus every ime I sit down, then have not shrunk. Just about perfect for yoga, sleep, exercise lounging ect. Yes I will buy them again.
I really like these, the fabric is just right, not too heavy and not too light. Fit me nicely and comfortable. Perfect for lounging around the house yet works well if you need to go to the grocery store run aswell.
They shorts are really nice and feel great, however, they do run a bit smaller than the size chart would suggest. This is true of the waist and very true of the legs. If you have anything thickness to your legs at all you'll probably want a bigger size than you normally buy. If not for that I would have bought more of these. As it is I gave them to someone that is better suited for the fit and they do really like them.
