To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
The bow came in great shape. it is straight, played nice, has pretty good balance. bow hair is correct length. but after about 3 months, the hair feels like it worn out. it feels like it would slide across the strings and does not produce a constant tone. i only started playing the violin a month before getting the bow. The amount of time I need to replace the bow per year, it'd be better off and makes more sense in buying a mid to mid-high end bow.
I just received it I’m a beginner myself the bow is light. I’m pretty sure it’s horse hair but when trying to bow at the frog and at the top of the bow like it doesn’t sound right or you can barely hear it.. I don’t know I have a k.holtz bow and it’s not like that.. hmm.. I read the reviews and they said it’s perfect it for me it’s not..the first one that they send me the hair is falling off then this one.. I’ll just used it.. but I rather buy like $50-70 bow that I will not have complain about..
