I went on a road trip this weekend. Prior to leaving I thought I’d give this unit a solid tryout. I loaded a large quantity of my MP3 library to this unit, and still didn’t fill half of the memory. This included album art as well. Next I tested multiple Bluetooth connections, which was the primary selling feature if this device. Bluetooth ear phones and speakers connected easily. I couldn’t get it to connect to my iPad, the only other Bluetooth I attempted. I like the form factor of this product. Very compact, very solid feeling. The unit was immediately recognized as a hard drive by my PC and as a media device by my car’s audio system. I could make folder and song selections easily from the media center, and easily change folders and songs during my weekend travel. Very nice.
I got this in the mail and it looked so nice I couldn't wait to play with it right away. I turned it on and tried music on it right away and it had good sound on it. I loved that it came with the little stuff to keep it in good condition and all. Everything was going great about a hour into having it, i went to connect to my computer as it tells you to add your music to add all my songs and the thing wouldn't turn back on. I thought maybe the battery life is horrible since it was over half full when i turned it on as you can see in the pictures. Well i plugged it into charge. A hour later still wouldn't turn on so i let it charge over night same thing never turned on again this is a piece of junk i sent it back the very next day. It may look nice but if the life of its so short not worth it.
Incredible little mp3 device that feels solid. I was particularly impressed with the metal box it came in, packaging says so much. The device itself will perfectly satisfy your requirements if you set off searching for a solid functional mp3 player / voice recorder… then the developers went ahead and added in some “just in case” features so you wouldn’t necessarily have to switch devices. Voice recorder functionality is good, the microphone is very sensitive and picks up audio from far away. It should work well in lecture theaters or if you’re into recording interviews and such. I didn’t see any way to adjust the sensitivity level but my tests suggest that the current setting should work well for most situations. Little tip though don’t fidget with the device while its recording. Its very small, but for me it means I can tuck it away while I continue to enjoy my music or lectures through my headphones or earbuds. It has Bluetooth tech as well so you don’t have to be tethered to cords and cables. I suggest you let it charge fully before using so when you start tinkering and playing with it you won’t get distracted wondering if the battery will die while you’re on a roll. (Don’t worry battery life is pretty impressive so you should be okay) There’s a picture viewer on the device so I copied some images to it and was instantly disappointed with the quality on the 2.5 inch screen. Then I reminded myself that its primarily an mp3 player so I really shouldn’t be expecting HD quality. Music player has built in equalizer I and variable speed adjuster, just more features just in case you need it. It can be connected to your car audio or other external audio device through the audio out jack at the base. Bluetooth connectivity to some cars is supported as well. It has an expansion slot so you can stick in a memory card for additional storage, up to 128 Gb is supported, so that should be more than enough for music heads going for a run. I’m happy with it. It feels rock solid, small and neat and doesn’t get it the way. It just works. I’ll post back if any quirks come up but so far its all good!
I wanted to give this a five star review but I couldn't. It looks great and seems to be very well designed. When it worked it was really great. I would buy another one EXCEPT it stopped working properly after 3 months (the controls no longer work and the display is showing strange options). A reset using the button on the side does not fix the issue. Also it seems that if the file sizes of the ripped music files are too large, it won't play them. Initially I thought this was just with WMA files but now I think it applies to MP3 too. It doesn't say anything about file size limitations in the manual or in the description.
I did give support a chance before I edited this review but they did not respond to my e-mail. Now it's stopped working and I've had conversations with support about a replacement and I'm hoping it will arrive soon, although with the current situation I understand it could take a while.
I got this as a beginner mp3 player for my 8 year old son. He had no problem figuring out how to play music that I helped load for him. I noticed that when transferring files from my pc, the hard drive in the mp3 player is divided into 2, 16gb sections. I like that this mp3 player has a built in speaker. Sound quality is good for a child, but lacks the depth an adult might crave. I really like that this mp3 player is lightweight and didn't weigh my pocket down. The screen is completely smooth, so you have to look at the player to switch songs. I wish the forward and rewind buttons had a small bump to feel. I'm very happy with the battery life. Overall, this is a good beginner mp3 player.
a. Very Easy to download music onto the MPE device - I just used the Power 2Go software to capture my CD music and stored on my computer I then opened in my Explorer file and dragged and dropped the music files onto your MPE drive....simple to copy - I also downloaded my USB memory device with lots of songs on the MPE drive.... and it took it … a simple drag and drop the USB music files to the MPE drive.... - Installed my 64GB micro memory card into the MPE drive...However...the 16GB(built into the MPE Drive) is kept separate from the 64GB memory card and must be selected if I wanted to use the 64GB card - LOTS of information on How to use this MPE drive...… Highly recommend any must read the manual to fully understand all of the MPE player's function - By going into the MPE Albums menu... my albums that were downloaded in this MPE Player are ALL there - The sound quality was good... no different from my other MPE players - Battery appears to last for a while.... - It's good that you have Bluetooth and a plug for a headphone.... like to use my Bose headphone sometimes b. I've noticed that sometimes when my album finishes.... my Bluetooth shuts down and I had to pair it up again... doesn't auto pair with my Bluetooth when I turn on the MPE player c. And sometimes...the MPE player would shut down if I leave it alone for a little while...would have like it stay open for a little while longer d. Kept touching the screen for function and realized that it's not like my iPhone... e. I would like to put some rubber grip on the side of the MPE player....from slipping out of my hand f. Wish you had also...up/down buttons...for convenience g. Not sure...but when all of the 16GB memory are used....does the MPE automatically switch to my 64GB Sim card???
I was amazed at how much smaller this item actually was. It fits in the palm of the hand like a small remote control. It is very spacious and plays music clear just like any other Mp3 player. The battery power is pretty decent. This item is great because it is decreet due to the size so you can easily take this out in public with headphones or even use it during exercise. It also allows you to connect to items via Bluetooth and to store videos and voice recordings. A great alternative to purchasing pricy Ipods. Comes with charger and is shipped in a tin box case for additional protection.
The sound quality is very good. The radio tuning is clear, even in a building where reception is generally bad. Battery life is disappointing, about six hours. The radio has a station preset, but it only lasts for one session. Once the radio is turned off, the presets clear. The device does audio books poorly. Even when setting it to NOT shuffle, it does, particularly to books on CD, downloaded from computer. It shuffles them so the chapters are not in order. Seems to be no way to correct this. Trying to turn it off becomes a project. When the on/off button is pushed, it will ask if you want to turn the radio off. Then it won't. The instruction manual is confusing and seems to be contradictory, doesn't address issues like turning the thing off. Would not buy this again.
Bought these earbuds for my husband and he is very impressed. Earbuds are used in a work environment with incoming and outgoing calls. microphone and sound quality on calls are excellent. Battery life is very strong, still going strong for 9 days without a charge. The case can charge them about 40 times. Battery capacity LED indicator on charging case. The full-size USB port for charging mobile phones or other device. Slim light earbuds, nice fit in-ears. I use them while jogging or running, stay snug and well in ears. The earbuds pair very easily and quickly for the initial set up and then they pair automatically as soon as you get them out of the case. The earbuds can work together on the same phone or connect separately to 2 phones for 2 people to use.
