The camera is easy to setup and picture quality is superb but unfortunately almost immediately it had issues. The app connection to the camera constantly drops and the app does not refresh itself. So if this happens at night while you're asleep you won't know your baby is crying. We even purchased wifi boosters thinking it was our network but it made no difference. I was really surprised considering the price how completely unreliable this camera is. I strongly do not recommend it.
I really wanted to like this product but the constant problems and unreliable notifications kill it for me. So, I got the camera about 5 months ago just before the little one was born, set it up, quickly tested it and all seemed ok. The little one was born and, in the beginning, everything seemed to be working fine (with a little snag here and there but nothing major). A month or so goes by and the camera starts having trouble connecting; I restart it several times, change the resolution back and forth, and there really is no consistency, sometimes it works fine and sometimes it doesn't. I get in touch with support, explain I have 2 recent phones and they're both seeing the same problem, internet connection is good and been tested when I experience the problems as well and there's no problem there. I suggest there must a problem with their servers as either the software is not efficient or they're overloaded. Kept getting default responses about restarting the camera, making sure it's connected properly, etc, completely ignoring my assessment. Another month or so of complete garbage (now I'm out of the return period so I just try to work with it), then they send a message to everyone that they were having problems with overloading in the servers and also needed to update their firmware... really!? The next few weeks I kept getting firmware updates, during which time the camera is unusable and some of which would take several hours and I would have to restart the camera manually (without knowing if it would turn on again as the updates were obviously buggy). Lately, it seems to be finally working ok again but for how long... Also, the AI notifications are not very reliable (you take the kid out of the crib and keeps saying the baby might be covered for the next hour for example) and sometimes they come in delayed by several minutes, which deems them useless. All in all, would I buy this product again? No, I wouldn't. The concept is interesting but it's been poorly executed so far.
OK product at the discounted price, audio quality is not great and functions like a radio. Family sharing options could be more flexible eg automatically provides video access and can’t provide access to just the “cubo moments” wall. Can’t be used without wifi eg useless at locations without wifi like the cottage. Connecting to other wifi networks is difficult and has required us unpairing and resetting the device.
I am quite disappointed with this Camera. I bought this a little over a month ago and for the first week, it worked perfectly. I loved it. Then my camera started getting the updates. I have not had the camera work straight through one single night since. The amount of camera lag in unbelievable. Half the time you open the app wondering why you're not hearing sound, only to find out that the camera stopped working hours ago in the middle of the night! You can be watching the live video feed and it will start to skip. First a second or 2, then minutes at a time until the camera is far enough behind that you will hear the baby clearly crying before the camera will even pick up a sound and send it through. Babys' smartest safeguard? Maybe... when it decides to work...
I was so excited to purchase this as it was cute and it was supposed to alert me if my little one was in danger. Only problem is that it worked for 2 days and wouldn’t connect to my wifi anymore, although my signal was strong. I reached out to customer service, who were quick to respond but unfortunately couldn’t fix the issue. A baby monitor shouldn’t be this complicated or unreliable so I returned it.
La caméra est de qualité mais malheureusement n'a jamais fonctionné...nous avons écrit a cubo après avoir fait tout ce qu'il demandait rien n'a fonctionné...nous avons demander un remboursement ...cubo offrait 45 jour money back garantie
Alerts do not work--I'm frequently alerted that the baby has "rolled over or face is covered" when the baby hasn't moved and has his hand has been next to his mouth since the moment he fell asleep. I just checked the monitor and he was awake, crying. No notification. Additionally, I have a Pixel 2 XL and it takes about 10-15 seconds for the app to load the screen to check on the baby. My Nest cam, by comparison, takes about 2-5 seconds. Finally, it does not have a crisp picture. Arlo is far more clear, but also has glitches with loading. Going back to Infant Optix.
Updated to two stars because image quality really is the best out of the options I've tried to date.
It has great picture quality and it's easy to assembles. Love that it comes with all the stands u might use...we used floor stand while our baby was in basinet and now switched to crib and for crib ..I guess eventually we might us table stand as well when baby starts to walk around.
Edited: the app used to have gliches since we got it....I would have to reconnect once in a while...but last few days it's so bad that I don't feel comfortable just being dependent on it 1. While sleeping I used to have background noise running so that I can hear when my baby is waking up. Last 2-3 days the app just shuts off background noise middle of the night. (And no it is not my phone setting!) 2. When it shuts off middle of the night it also doesn't give me notifications of when my baby is crying or rolled over. 3. The sleep analysis is so inconsistent that u can't have any hopes. Some days you will see it and some days you won't.
My husband loved the camera so we kept it. So regret it now that its over exchange period. The bight vision has a good quality over all but the details not as much. My last camera i could see baby belly moving as he breaths, this one you cant.
I also hate the fact that it only turns off if you unplug it.
And my biggest concern is that the video turns gray screen out of nowhere and sometimes it quickly swipes through it. Also, two days the camera light just turned bright and on when we weren't using it, i started leaving it off most of the times now.
At first, this monitor seems like it has it all, but it just hasn’t perfected it. Constantly drops the connection, the app always needs to update, and the design should have ZERO flaws for the price but instead you’re constantly trying to jam the monitor in when you are trying to put it in a base and all the while not wake your barely sleeping baby only to find once you’ve tiptoed out of the room that you didn’t click it in ‘just right’ so now you’ve lost the ability to hear, check the temp etc. I’m about to purchase another basic monitor thats super cheap so that I have a backup! You shouldn’t need a backup at this price point. And I also think they should have included a handheld monitor thats connected, at least this way I wouldn’t have to buy a whole new system.
