I love this it brings me comfort at night, we've had one false alarm when it got lose. But it's great love having it. The only downside about this is it came with a dead battery and that was frustrating because I wanted to test it right away. We replaced the battery and it works great and haven't had an issue since.
It is still too early to leave an overall product review, but what I can say is the battery life of the original battery was junk. We used this 1 night so far, turning it on at bedtime, and turning it off in the morning for about 6-8 hours use. Today I turned it on for the 2nd time, and already the battery light flashed orange, meaning “battery nearing depletion-replace battery.” I may get a full 2 night use out of it before I have to replace the battery. The last snuza I got, which was several years ago, the original battery lasted at least 6 months.
Let me start by saying that SIDS scares the heck out of me, so I’m all about products like this that have the potential to reduce the risk. I was trying to decide between the owlet and the snuza and ended up going with the snuza because it seemed easier to use. In reality, it’s a pain. My daughter was a winter baby so having to wear it under her onesies, PJs, and swaddle was not ideal. Plus I’d have to turn it off, remove it, and reattach it to a new diaper every time I changed her in the middle of the night. For already being sleep deprived, it was one extra thing I didn’t need. I ended up returning it and buying the owlet instead. I LOVE it. It’s more expensive than the snuza, but worth every penny. Save yourself the headache and just get it to begin with.
I was looking forward to this to help take my mind off of sids worries. It made it worse and I didn't even use it. There's all these different settings and beeps to worry about. My little one is a wiggler even in her sleep, I'd be waking up every 10 minutes if I used this thing.
Great product only issue is when baby rolls onto stomach you can barely hear the beeping. I bought the product because my son rolls to his stomach and sleeps on his face. It’s kind of pointless if once laying on the product it muffles the sound so much it can hardly be heard
