In common with some other reviewers, my brush just came it a plastic bag & has no reference to 'Denman' anywhere, either on packaging or the brush. It certainly feels quite cheap & not of Denman quality. A disappointing & for what it is, expensive purchase.
Have bought this model brush for over 20 years. The quality is now much poorer - it's a lot lighter and the prongs don't articulate as well with the base, so it feels a lot stiffer and scratchier on the scalp. Doesn't have the same balance, but the lightness and balance might suit others.
Was happy to pay more for the quality in the past, but this is not worth £10.
I'd been watching a lot of hair shows on YouTube when I decided to buy this denman brush but when it arrived and I took it out of the packaging it seemed so insubstantial I laughed. If I wanted a toy brush this would be it. But I suppose it's good enough to put in your handbag, but is it worth the price? Definitely not my dear!
The bristles hurt my scalp and the rubber pad keeps coming off the brush when I run it through my hair. I have medium thick hair and I had read other reviews from people with proper thick hair saying that this happened but I didn't think it would with mine but it did! It's really annoying and I now don't use the brush anymore for that reason.
It is an original Denman, but I don't like the bristles on this one. They are so stiff that it pulled my hair and, when wet, made my curls stretch out and changed my curl pattern. My boyfriend uses it now on his short straight hair and he's happy with that, but who knows why they recommend this for curly hair!
I was aware that this is a smaller product, quality wise it's good, but the brush is sooo sharp and hurts your scalp. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone... Denman you know you can and do much better, as this brush is now just collecting a vintage dust look on the drawer.
It arrived damaged, or maybe it’s just poor quality. The rubber that connects the bristles to the brush looked like it had been stuck there with a shabby glue gun job and it was all falling apart. Not the sturdy brush I expected. Not worth the money.
