To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
When I bought my Arlo, I like the fact that I didn't have to run cables to them. However, after a few years of dealing with charging and swapping batteries, I've gotten feed up. My batteries last about a month if that, some only weeks. I bought new batteries and some of those were better, but it was becoming a nightmare chasing batteries.
The only problem I have with the two ends of the cable is that you need to drill a large hole to pass the cable through a wall if you are running through a wall. Also, the power block is too large to fit under an outdoor outlet cover to protect it from rain.
This is great because you don't have to worry about changing/charging the battery. It fits very snug as part of the water proof protection so don't be discouraged when you first plug it in and you think it's not connecting. You really have to get it in there good and tight and just right.
This is a good option to use where there is an electrical connection available to keep the cameras charged without having to worry about their power running out. Particularly if the camera is placed at a location where removing it to replace /recharge the battery pack is difficult to access.
