This is the 2nd tshirt I bought from this company. The first one was so nice that I decided to buy the same tshirt in gray -- despite the exorbitant price of almost $40.00 (for a t-shirt!) If this is organic cotton, as the label says, I would be amazed! It has little bulges all over it and those little bulges are discolored and almost white. If it were intentional it might be okay -- but they're obviously not intentional -- they are a flaw in the fabric.
I have ordered a total of three of these 100% cotton shirts and love all of them and so does my skin. Very comfortable and washes well. I wish there were more colors (pastel pink, blue) from which to choose.
First, I didn't know how many chemicals were in most traditional cotton clothing... The answer??? A LOT of chemicals which off-gas and can make you itch and make you sick. I knew sometimes I could smell a weird smell on new clothes that required washing them a few times, but I didn't know that you really can't make that go away.
Second, I like cotton clothes, but sometimes cotton clothes are a little boring.
Third, I like colored TShirts. This gray is a really pretty gray, and there is such a unique weave and feel to it, it feels like it could go into much more formal articles of clothing! The sizing is a tiny bit slender on me, but I am a big guy. I would like the option of XL Tall, and if that is available this would be the perfect T-shirt for me!
It is pretty cool-wearing, but it seems it is pretty warm too as a layering piece. This material is so nice looking, and to the touch, it could be worn under a blazer! That seems to be a popular thing to do these days, but I am not particularly trendy, but I think I could pull that off.
This T-Shirt retains its shape really well and doesn't seem to shrink in the wash and dryer. That is important since it is a bit more of a slim fit than I prefer. I have no space to lose! Finally, this is really well made. You can see and feel how well made this is.
I've never owned a organic cotton shirt, and had to know how it felt compared to my other T'shirts, and if it was worth the money. I tried it on as soon as it came, and I got to tell you, it feels so much nicer than the T-shirts I wear now. This shirt is a little thinner than what I'm used to, but it feels so much better when worn. I can't believe that this T, and the ones hanging in my closet, are both 100% cotton, only this is made from organic cotton, and the difference is unbelievable. The fit is spot on, and not to tight or to big. The black color is bright, and doesn't have that washed out black color look. The biggest difference of all was the price. This one shirt sells for $26.00 (as of this review) for an X-Large in black. I usually buy T's 3-5 at a time, from a major brand sold in dept. and big box stores across the country, and at half the price of this one shirt. I'm assuming making or growing anything organic is an expensive process. All organic veges in the grocery store are always much more, the same with beef and dairy products labeled organic. So growing organic cotton must be an expensive process as well. I have no idea what goes into producing organic cotton, but it sure makes for a great T shirt. I'd love to have a closet full of these in different colors, but at $26 bucks each, it's gonna take a while. If i could afford these, I'd be switching over to organic t-shirts in a heartbeat. I couldn't find one thing wrong with these, and didn't want to take off any stars for the high price alone, as I know there are people who will love these, and spending $26 bucks for a T is no issue, so I couldn't justify knocking the price because it's high to me. These are great, and honestly, I never knew anything about organic cotton. Now that I do, whenever I see clothing made from cotton, this distinction will come into play. A great T-shirt, and well worth the money if you are in the $26/T shirt tax bracket.
