Having gotten rid of my NES years back, I was excited to see these mini units becoming available. This one is a keeper.
The console itself is super small, and the controllers are nearly exact in size and feel to the original system.
I have spent hours now on this little game system, and I am just thrilled. All of my favorites (except the original Tetris) are on here, and there's no game cartridges to stack.
The front of the unit is a transposed version of the original, so the Player 1 controller slot is on the right instead of the left. The "power" button is also to the right of the "reset" button, whereas it would normally be to the left.
Connects to the television with R,W,Y component wires, and is powered from a wall socket plug.
When you first turn it on, the list of games comes right up to select from, just click "start" on the game you want.
I have been playing TMNT, the original Mario Bros., Excitebike, Goonies, Friday the 13th, Tiny Toon Adventures, Tetris 2, among others. EVERYTHING is as I remember, including hidden blocks and passageways to warp zones in Mario. The intros play, just like the originals too.
Definitely will be grabbing a couple of these for Easter gifts. Good for younger kids who never knew NES, or older folks like me that love nostalgia, and the price was incredible.
5.0 out of 5 stars
I'm in love with this little console!

This is a fun product. Not for everyone but I like it. 1. Small and very light weight 2. Cord is slightly shorter than I would like. (Both power and AV) 3. Controller cord is decent 4. Cost is good compared to amount of games it provides. 5. Showed up slowly (Due to Corona-time) 6. Battery Life? System plugs into wall. No battery
With that said I can tell you that I bought this with the intent of having the kids play all the old Nintendo games. There are some Nintendo but also old Atari classics. The site says there are 620 games. I don't believe that is 100 percent accurate. Some games are repeated (the same) and are counted as another game but still there are many games. I found Mario but couldn't find Zelda. Maybe due to copyright issues or maybe under a different name? Either way that was the one game I wished was on it. Overall, it's still a fun product to have if you enjoy the simplistic time of video games.
It’s great. I had all of the games that I wanted. Turtles 1,2,3, contra, double dragon, ninja garden, Mario, Dr. Mario, Batman, and others. I wish that it had Tecmo Bowl and Battletoads, but no big deal. The controllers feel authentic and the OS is smooth. It’s great for the price.
The 2 player function does work. Don’t listen to Chelsie’s review. It must be fake.
Update: one of our controllers somehow broke. Went on Amazon to search for a replacement. NONE:( however.... I unscrewed the controller and found the problem. Reposition the plate inside so that the wires have contact once again. FIXED!!)
Going into this, I know you can’t save progress. If you really really want to save progress, spend more for an authentic mini console. This generic system brings me back to my childhood. I am also very glad I did not spend extra for the real thing. The novelty wore off for me after playing a variety of games in the first hour. Then it was back to work at home. However, my kids 6 and 9 have a BLAST every time. I read a review that the two players option doesn’t work... well, they’ve played pinball, contra, and pikachu and the two players option works. It’s like having an arcade in your very own living room lol so glad I didn’t spend $150 on the real thing. The real one also comes with only one controller. This mini console is probably the best $30 I‘ve spent since COVID. If you’re looking for a change of pace from smart phone games, get this mini console. And if you were born in the 70s/early 80s, and are familiar with Nintendo, get this and save your $$$ from buying the marked up one for $150 when it sold for $50 three years ago.
Console is honestly great, coming from someone who plays the original. This is a great little work around for those who can’t get their hands on the original as well. Mario runs as it should, with everything except a few visual differences (color is SLIGHTLY off) but you can fix that through your tv settings. Along with the visuals of Mario is the title screen, it has a non trademarked title box but it doesn’t change anything with the game. Warps work, clip & frame jumps, all of it. There’s not much for me to say about the other games, I played the DK’s and enjoyed them a lot, along with a few others. The console is filled with around 300 games, seeing as their is ALMOST 2 of each. A ton of them being great classics. The controllers are a little light but they actually play & feel as if they were original, the cord length is pretty decent I’d say as well. For the console itself, it’s pretty light but what can you expect with it all being downloads of the games. It’s a pretty small set up inside of the console being 1 board, and a chip for the games, not much else. But they run smooth, and all nearly perfect to the originals. I hope this review helps whoever may be looking at this. It took me forever to decide if testing one of these would even be worth it, but it’s actually really fun and I feel much safer taking it wherever. The only issue I had at all with the console was through shipping, (and needing my tv to be able to run the 240p console. Most HD or flatscreen tv’s nowadays only go so low as to 480i), but the power button was stuck in on the console when I received it in the box. I have to pull the button out manually rather than being able to just press it to go in, and press it to come out, the reset is perfectly fine though along with everything else it came with. (2 controllers, set of aux to AV cables, the console, the power supply, and the manual with a list of games)
I got this for my grandson who is 4, and we are considering getting a second one for us to have around the house just for fun. My husband and I are in our 40's and remember many of these games fondly. There are some obvious worthy classics, Mario Brothers, Digdug, Galaga, Galaxian, Paperboy, Joust, Robocop, Treasure Island, 1942, Pacman and Donkey Kong. The controllers feel and react exactly like the original controllers did. Why 4 stars instead of 5: MOST games on this are unknown and rudimentary even by 80's standards. Some look like old computer games. The entire list of games are doubled, not named correctly in the title list, and the language within many of the games is in Chinese. The controller cords and console connection to the TV are too short. We had to push our couch forward to be able to reach. To get back to the game list menu, you must manually push the reset button on the console.
This is a fun little blast from the past. The 30 or so decent games it DOES have, are authentic as far as I can tell. But the majority are fillers and not even worth playing. However, it was ABSOLUTELY worth 30 bucks for the fun of playing the classic games I listed, again after all these years. I am sure we will get many hours of fun out of it, even with the drawbacks.
