Like many, wanted to pick up a new hobby during quarantine. Before this, I had never embroidered in my life! As a beginner, this kit is awesome! It's very well packaged & each pattern allows you to flex different embroidery muscles. The amount of material you get for the price in amazing (i.e. plenty of yarn just in case of some unavoidable errors, 3 sewing needles, etc.). Likewise, all materials are organized and separated by pattern, so it's easy to manage. Each pattern offers a color key and set of directions (including pictures). I will say, I struggled a bit with the directions but a simple YouTube search helped me big time! Overall, I'd absolutely recommend this product & will post my final products once I've finished :)
PS - unrelated to the product, embroidering is incredibly soothing and helps with my own anxieties. It allows me to be completely present and focus on something else.
Never Embroidered before and this Kit came with everything you need to learn and do! I added my own stitches to parts of the pattern and added more Color to make it Pop! Super cute and fun to do, cool learning experience too! Like that this Kit comes with 3 patterns for a really good price, all the others were only one pattern for the price of these three! Nice to do while dealing with the Quarantine of 2020 and having to stay inside, great hand craft! Highly recommend! Won't let me upload pictures.
I just started embroidering and this kit was perfect to get me going. I started with the green flowers which was great for learning a ton of new stitches. Plus it was pretty simple yet a really beautiful design. I didnt use the pictures on the back for instruction, instead I turned to YouTube which was far more straight forward. The cactus was my second project, this one was more difficult and time consuming but manageable. I did run out of the yellow/green thread that was used as a stain stitch on one cactus and adorned other cactus as well. Luckily I had bought a floss kit and found that color in there. I am now onto the orange and yellow flower pattern which so far seems like it'll be the quickest!
If I were to put an order out there for beginners I'd say: Green flowers (to get a good grasp on stitches)
Orange flowers (quick and only uses 2 new stitches)
I am absolutely addicted to embroidery now and am so happy I got this kit to get me started. Just what I needed in quarantine!
I’ve never embroidered before, but have always wanted to and figured the Great Quarantine of 2020 would be a good time to try it! Everything was easy to use, instructions were clear (I still had to watch YouTube videos as I’m a more visual person, bust still), and the quality of everything seemed pretty great! I have to warn you though, on the green canvas, DO NOT IRON! I ironed it off somehow before even attempting a stitch! I could sort of still see it once it was gone, but I definitely recommend ironing after complete. Otherwise, I’m super happy about how mine came out and how the product was to use!
I like that the thread colors didn't bleed when I placed, the first one I completed, in water for cleaning. I've been embroidering for some time and am familiar with the stitches you've suggested and I do tend to incorporate other stitches as well, I do feel for a beginner the stitch instructions may be a bit confusing. I enjoy working on your patterns, the print is very clear, I hope you will be coming out with new designs.
Great quality of the materials. The instructions were easy to use as it labels the specifics stitches but hard to follow so watched videos instead. I made these as gifts and they turned out beautifully. Very happy.
I had never embroidered prior to purchasing this kit, and I am really satisfied with my purchase! The directions aren't very helpful (at least not for me), but I have just been YouTubing each stitch and it's super easy now that I've gotten the hang of it. I have completed one pattern so far and am halfway through another. There is plenty of thread left over from the first pattern, which I plan to use for future projects that I freehand. I think the thread, embroidery fabric, and materials are all pretty good quality especially for the price, but I also don't know really anything about embroidery so don't trust me on that! Bottom line: patterns are cute, easy, and it seems to be worth the money. Will purchase more of these types of kits if I suck at free handing!
This is a really good set for beginners. It’s affordable, it’s got three options, and it includes everything you need. It has three needles PER design so you end up with 9 needles altogether which is nice because I tend to lose them. I finished the first one within four hours and then decided to practice freestyle on an old dress I was wearing, and made a cute little flower. It comes with more than enough thread, so I have some spare left over. The only thing I’ll say against the kit is that the readable directions are a little hard for me, cause I’m more of a visual learner. But that’s easily remedied by simply looking up YouTube tutorials. This is a great kit, I would definitely recommend!
Overall, I really enjoyed this kit and would recommend it.
Pros: -The designs are pretty -Way more fibers than are needed to complete the designs are included, so I didn't stress when I messed up -The designs require different techniques
Cons: -The directions are limited and not especially clear (but it was easy to look up quick tutorials for the different stitches, on youtube) -The included scissors are dull and kind of awful, and they should probably include a needle threader -The hoop is super cheap and it is difficult to pull the cloth tight
